GAT_00: What have the Democrats done for you lately?

the Democrats didn't 'let' anyone vote, they just stopped a bunch of Republicans from making it really hard for blacks to get to the polls on election day.

Evan McMorris-Santoro of TPM writes that the group, which describes itself as an "alternative conservative" super PAC, has run a number of other ads throughout the state, including one that "accuses Obama and Democrats of imploding the economy by forcing mortgage companies to lend to 'unqualified borrowers' while the Soviet national anthem plays

Wait, the Soviet National Anthem plays in the commercial, or banks are forced to play it while they lend minorities money? Because depending on which option is accurate this goes from a typical dumb political ad to one that rivals "Vote Kristi Noem, she ain't never left" levels of insane.

2012-11-01 09:02:00 PM
Run that ad in Alabama or Mississipi if you're legit, GOP.

2012-11-01 09:02:45 PM
Republicans also voted to repeal Obamacare 30+ times and counting and bring vaginal ultrasounds to every American.

2012-11-01 09:04:01 PM
Not try to shamelessly and insultingly pander to you?

2012-11-01 09:12:17 PM
Well, for one, the Dems haven't lied to their faces like they're too stupid to notice. Which is nice.

I do love how they want to take credit for things that happened a hundred years ago in their party when Romney won't even take credit for things he did in 2004. Or taxes he paid in 2009.

2012-11-01 09:15:18 PM
That inspired me to make an ad for Southern Whites:

"Dear White People, the Democratic Party gave you the Confederacy, Jim Crow, and the Klan. What has the GOP done for you lately?"

2012-11-01 09:19:58 PM

WTF Indeed: the Confederacy, Jim Crow, and the Klan

Well... actually.... it's given them the Confederacy, Jim Crow, and the Klan

2012-11-01 09:24:27 PM
NACCP?

MaudlinMutantMollusk: Well... actually.... it's given them the Confederacy, Jim Crow, and the Klan

Considering all Confederate officials where Democrats, Jim Crow was created by Democrats, and the phrase "The Solid South" comes from the Democratic hold on the region from 1876 to 1956.

Hey, it's another person who pretends that from 1956 to 1972 there wasn't a massive ideological and phillosophical shift between the Democratic and Republican Party, coupled with the Republican Party courting the voters and lawmakers which were disenfranchised and against the civil rights movement.

Desperation smells desperate.

Arent these 3 things that modern Republicans want reversed?

That loose name association allows us to average a good thing every 50 years. What have the democrats done for you lately? Vote out the socialist from Kenya Indiana.

It seems more and more that it takes some form of brain damage to actually believe in and vote for republicans

2012-11-01 10:10:56 PM
So who is going to tell them that the democrats and republicans were pretty much the polar opposite of what they were even 50 years ago?

Let's look at the states Lincoln won when he was elected President:

HMMMMMMM..... Whose map does that look like now?

It's almost as if the Republican Party has sold-out everything it once stood for.

"...Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act."

notthisshiatagain.jpg

Setting aside the fact that the Democratic Party and Republican Party now are FAR from a carbon copy of 50 years ago, the fight for the Civil Rights Act was a NORTH vs SOUTH fight, not a Dem vs Rep. fight.

Have you been paying attention for the last who knows how many elections? Well over half the country is too stupid to notice.

Just cause the GOP are lying asswipes doesn't mean being a lying asswipe doesn't work.

Well, the Democrats did get a black hero elected POTUS.

Didn't the religion of the current GOP nominee only start accepting African Americans in the 1970s?

"The GOP freed the slaves" is what I like to call an engineering fact; it's technically true and completely useless.

I believe it was in the early 70s when they were allowed to join and become clergy and such. Before then they were allowed to sit quietly and nod their heads.
