dittybopper: An *OPTIONAL* civics course, one of many different online courses offered on a bunch of different subjects.
Kevin72: Corporations are sitting on $5.3 trillion dollars. Record profits. So where are the jobs?
whidbey: Figures two soulless box chain stores who exploit 3rd world countries to profit heavily off their cheap crappy building materials would oppose anyone who has criticized how well people at the top are doing, and that we can't go back to the economic policies of the Bush administration.Maybe if we didn't have access to such cheap crap in the first place, people would learn the value of what they're spending their money on.
yeegrek: Subby here. Believe it or not, my reading comprehension is intact. I fully admit I was playing fast and loose with the story's facts. The story did say that employees felt they had to take the course since their overlords were watching (and apparently very ideological). However, The company owning Lowe's and Home Depot (among others) to their employees: "Obama's economic policies are A) bad, B) very bad C) catastrophically bad or D) you may or may not suffer some career-oriented consequences soon or possibly further down the road, we haven't decided yet, let's just see who wins the election first" wouldn't make for much of a headline.
skullkrusher: has anyone noticed that the headline doesn't match the article?
mediablitz: Shaggy_C: Really, what's the difference between advocating high-tax, low-profit Democrat policies and burning down a Company warehouse?Yeah, where the fark are those? In your farking HEAD? History shows more growth and more prosperity under Democratic leadership. You are a lying, willfully ignorant slime.
KarmicDisaster: Wow, that's sick, I guess no more Menards for me.
DORMAMU: Shaggy_C: Diogenes: My politics are non of my employer's business. They are when you're participating in activities directly designed to http://www.fark.com/comments/7411889?startid=80398478&fpost=Ua_iXIvbFQ k5X7lmY9UC5QegiiHVlTekE_ztXn3#bhurt your employer. Really, what's the difference between advocating high-tax, low-profit Democrat policies and burning down a Company warehouse? In both cases, you're hurting the Company and should be fired.5/10Too blunt
quatchi: Is there some kind of rule in place now on Fark where the headline and the article it references are not allowed any overlap in the Venn diagram?
Diogenes: I think I'd consider a hostile workplace suit. My politics are non of my employer's business.
Bontesla: FYI: Menards is the guilty culprit; not HD or LowesAnd it involved a Civics Course and not a termination.
