Obama has been kinda busy with an emergency. F*ck off George.

To be fair, George Will and Charles Krauthammer do share a single brain over there at the Post. I think this is Charles' week with it.

'Tis said two things not worth running after are a bus or an economic panacea, because another will come along soon.

These are the words of a man who has never taken public transportation in his entire life.

He's seen people take busses in busy cities so he knows what he is talking about.

Hey, now. That's Newt's job.

And screw George Will. He's been all over the map with regard to Romney. His political thoughts these days are less "theory" and more "musing." He's become the Dick Cavett of conservative political thought.

Six more days! Six more long derp-inducing days!

Nowhere. Not only have I never heard that phrase, it's completely idiotic. If you're running after a bus, obviously the entire point of that exercise is to get to someplace you have to be to at a certain time, like, you know, work.

Newt's what a stupid person thinks a smart person sounds like. He's The Big Bang Theory of right wing politics.

My alma mater gave us Andy Rooney. That's bad.

But it gave us Howard Fineman, which is good.

But it gave us (my former poli sci classmate) Monica Crowley. That's bad.

In short, I feel like frogurt now.

I know a lot of marginally smart people with a Ph.D. and Dave Barry won a Pulitzer.

Dave Barry deserves a Pulitzer. A PhD takes hard work, not brains (unless your PhD is in "Zombie Studies").

TFA is what happens when you run derp through Google Translate (first translating to "Chinese", then to "highfalutin gibberish").

// if you ran that through on "authentic frontier gibberish", you get Sarah Palin

I realize Will made it his own style and it's sort of his signature, but Jesus fark is his writing pretentious claptrap. We're talking Dennis Miller with a thesaurus.

Also... yeah, there's a reason Obama hasn't been campaigning hard the last week, and he's been doing exactly the right thing.

Not arguing with that.

I'm cynical enough to say that I think Obama sees some political opportunity in this, but he's also doing the right thing. I'll also admit that Romney as challenger is in a tougher spot regarding how to react to Sandy, though he's been fairly embarrassing thus far with his shameless photo ops and continued campaigning.

But all the people with their "WHY IS OBAMA DOING SO MUCH SO FAST AND EFFICIENTLY THIS IS CLEARLY PANDERING" would be first to biatch at any slight delay.

It's not just that, it's Romney's complete refusal to even discuss how he'd respond to a similar disaster.

I'm not positive that being Presidential during a disaster counts as "political opportunity" without fast devolving into talk about a weather controller and lizard men.

Followed by a long, loooong wail of butthurt from the rightards.

After this, I think I may go celebrate with a King Crab bucket at Joe's Crab Shack.

Hahahaaaaaaa, Obama is TOAST.

Basically, George Will is QQing about "Romnesia". After four years of witless portmanteaus from the birthers and the Tea Party, I think Obama can let his hair down a bit.

"Much of the Democratic Party's vast reservoir of condescension is currently focused on women, who are urged not to trouble their pretty little heads about actual problems but instead to worry that, 52 years after birth control pills went on the market and 47 years after access to contraception became a constitutional right, reproductive freedom is at risk. This insult may explain the shift of women toward Romney."

Riiiight. It's the left that "condescends" to women...

Dear George Will,

I don't know if you noticed, although you should have because you write for the Washington Post, but there was a bit of a weather incident earlier in this week that was a bit of a big f*cking deal. The grownups are busy trying to deal with the aftermath of it right now, but once things start to get under control they might be free to do whatever it is you think they should be doing.

In conclusion, go f*ck yourself.

Sincerely,

Everyone

The irony of that statement is that Will actually advocates that Syracuse apologize and/or rescind Biden's JD. What an ass.

// Biden's statement isn't exactly wrong, depending on how the SC made a RvW overturn decision
// for practical purposes he's exactly right

It's a shame what's become of Will. He was the thinking conservative and at one time his work made you question your assumptions. Now he just sounds angry and confused, like someone with a core life paradigm unraveling and no idea why. He future value will be as an example of the intellectually suffocating consequences of retreating into a belief bubble.

It's become my pet theory that the Baby Boomers are finally getting senile and the decades of living under the threat of nuclear annihilation is becoming the only thing they remember, so it colors everything they think of.
