Donald Trump purchased the house. If Obama doesn't release his cub scout belt loop records in 48 hours he will destroy it.

1. Buy Wright house "without knowing its provenance" ;-)
2. Stir up Internet outrage by "planning" to demolish it.
3. Profit

So this isn't a thread where we remind North Carolinians that the Wright Brothers did all their work in Dayton, Ohio and that all the North Carolinians provided was the beach the wind and the land usage fees and taxes?

Your first point bugged me too - I'm no newspaper editor but I know the difference between "providence" and "provenance". Lazy editors should be embarrassed.

Whomever suggested demolishing this national landmark instead of restoring it should be drug out into the street, shot, revived, and shot again.

Why the hell isn't this place on some historical register?

Dammit. I was really hoping Steven Wright was getting a game show. Now I'm disappointed.

Preemptive tactical strike:

FLW is the modern day Da Vinci of architecture. Everything you know about his work, you have underestimated or are ill-informed. He invented, in no particular order, HVAC, natural lighting, crowd control(circulation), open plan offices, ergonomic working conditions and lighting, modern public bathrooms and organic design as we know it today. And then the list of stuff he did for family houses and small construction, too. He was every bit the engineer as well as the designer and saying otherwise is ignorant. There is probably not a single building west of the MIssIppi today that doesn't incorporate some of the principles Wright codified.

Now go ahead and whine about how you once visited a FLW house and felt a draft or biatch about Falling Water like totally sucks. I'm outie

What editors? All we have now are "Web producers," those bleary-eyed code hackers who have meet deadlines that expired ten minutes ago.

Yabbut from pics from the weeks old Boobies, that fireplace looks like it wouldn't draft well with a 2-cycle leaf blower. Just sayin'
