(SeattlePI)   Guns N' Roses artwork draws criticism. This is not a repeat from 1987... Oh wait, it kinda is   (seattlepi.com) divider line 28

Jesus Christ, they 'shopped the insert image from Appetite, adding a Las Vegas billboard far behind the fence behind her.

/they also covered up her exposed breast
//people are such marys sometimes

In Europe (or at least in Belgium), the picture was not on the inside of the LP sleeve, but was kept as the cover. Said LP was given to me as a gift for my first communion by an aunt, because, and I paraphrase: "the music sounds a bit like the band Europe". Man. I wish I still had that LP.

The band "Guns 'n Roses" is no longer around. They split up years ago.

It's true. Her ass is also in debris.

yeah, i could see people having a problem with that being on billboards around town.

And the city, too, shouldn't want to make Vegas look like a place where people are assaulted and/or incapacited drunk, however true that vision may be.

that's what i thought. Slash went on to fame and fortune selling Volkswagon guitars. Axl went on to disappear and later reappear only to disappoint fans at every possible opportunity, unable to cope with his bi-polar disorder. the rest of the band who knows. i'm confused.

"When we start looking at pictures objectifying women, we say, 'OK, this is Vegas.' This is beyond the pale, even for Vegas," she said. "This is something that shouldn't be celebrated in any community."

Me thinks she has never actually been to Vegas.

It goes back farther than that actually, it was a 1978 painting titled Appetite for Destruction. The album was named after it.

"It functions as a mechanism to normalize violence against women, and that's not OK," Lisa Lynn Chapman, spokeswoman for women's shelter Safe Nest, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Normalize? Seriously? Apart from maybe bad trips on DMT, what in the living fark does a giant thing with daggers for teeth and a dozen arms leaping over a fence to attack a robot normalize?

Well, it's no Giger poster in a Dead Kennedy's album, but at least Appetite didn't break up the band

I'd forgot about Williams doing that artwork. Haven't broke out the CD in ages.

Paradise City is one of the most annoying, over-played, crap songs of all time. It makes my ears bleed every time I hear it. And is the primary reason I do not listen to Milwaukee radio stations anymore (They tend to play the song every few minutes on every station it seems because every single time I take a chance and turn on any Milwaukee station it's playing!).

I'm confused, women have sex with robots all the time, when one of them gets out of hand and roughs up instead of pleasuring how is this my fault?

An Artist's depiction of violence does seem like a grand cause in a city where swarms of escorts wander from hotel to hotel to feed their drug addiction. Yeah, a washed up band from the 80's seems like the perfect target for your impotent rage.

Pointless story

In other news Axl went on Kimmel and bought the whole audience burgers... Thought Fark would be all over that one.
