Here in Australia we have a panel show on advertising and PR originally called The Gruen Transfer. Of course, it's on our otherwise ads-free government-owned broadcaster. They had a whole episode about Red Bull and the jump and it was interesting to hear how the panellists from the advertising industry compared their strategy with that of other products, and how they're morphing into an events promoter.

/On a scale of not-so-extreme to extremely-extreme, that was EXTREME

Unlike Red Bull, Google doesn't let you go along for the ride.

They should fit that to Maldarnardo's car, so the stewards can have a good look when he crashes into someone.

Kinda this. Buy Pepsi, get lame Superbowl ads. Buy Red Bull, see a man jump from space and get 360-degree panoramic HD F-1 vids.

I'm sure there's some way to make the drink palatable, but in the mean time, I'm good with it.

I love those cars so much. If my commute to work looked and sounded like this I'd be so much happier.

People already sorta race around during morning and evening rush hours. fark it! Let's get everybody F1 cars and allow only them on the roads between 8 and 9 am and again at 5-6 pm on weekdays. Sure, a few thousand people will probably die every work day, but there are too damn many people anyways, and what's the point of living in a world where these things exist if you can't drive one to work?

Also, my commute time would go from 25m when I'm really pushing it to like 8 I bet.

The jump was not from space.

A neat trick is to do is to try and keep the white cross on his helmet square/level to the top/bottom/sides of the screen as he shifts his vision to look through the corners. It's pretty accurate to what it actually feels like to be in the cockpit of a race car visually stitching together apexes.

Except without 4g's of horizontal acceleration as you hit those apexes.
