That article basically read as "if Democrats manage to beat the craziest of the Republicans then they will have done alright".

The good news is Duckworth is leading Walsh by a fairly comfortable margin in the polls.

Where's the Bachmann/ Jim Graves race?

I think Bachmann losing is way more predictive of dem success. Maybe the alan west race too.

It'll be a good night for the Dems if they gain any seats in the House after the 2010 gerrymandering.

That's pretty much how I read it. Will the TP urge or sink? seems to be the implied theme there.

IL-08: Rep. Joe Walsh (R) vs. Tammy Duckworth (D)
FL-18: Rep. Allen West (R) vs. Patrick Murphy (D)
IA-4: Rep. Steve King (R) vs. Christie Vilsack (D)

Out of that entire list would love to see these three teatards lose their seats the most.

Not one of those three is fit to govern the derp that flows from their own pie-holes much less a district.

/And as long as I'm talking druthers here I'd really like to see Liz Warren beat Brown in Mass for the Senate seat.

Nothing about Paul Ryan losing his seat and thus helping to give Democrats the House?

I don't know the latest polling, but they just finished the first debate. Yes, Bachmann wouldn't debate until now. Maybe that's good. We have a short memory here.

The disdain and loathing of Graves for Bachmann was quite apparent.

Last I saw she was up 7-8 points.

All I could think about as soon as I started reading that was:
Black people walk like this.
White people walk like this.

That reminds me, I've got to write Tammy Duckworth a check. That woman is awesome.

I agree. The woman is missing a psychotropic prescription or five....

List fails without

Markwayne Mullin R vs Wallace D

Oklahoma 2nd district.

Dan Boren D is leaving so it's an open seat.

It also will show if the reddest of red can continue to have some blue.

Hartzler v. Hensey in MO-4 is going to be interesting, as well. Hartzler's a freshman who knocked off Ike Skelton in the 2010 tea party wave, but redistricting brought in the college town of Columbia and Hartzler's very vulnerable - especially since she sits on the Ag Committee and congress hasn't been able to get a farm bill passed. There's also the bit about her getting $24,000 in farm subsidies in the last two years and over $820,000 total since 1995. Oh, and she's just like Akin on social issues and supports turning Medicare into vouchers.

Here's a good rundown from the KC Star: Link

Hensley has raised about $800K for this cycle, while Hartzler has pulled in about $1.35M. The difference is that Hartzler is getting tons of outside help - Hensley has pulled about $200K in committee contributions while Hartzler has well over half a mil.

If the Dems pull this one out, I'll be pleasantly surprised - but Hartzler is vulnerable, especially if southwest Missouri doesn't show up to support the Mormon.

Since it specifically said "EARLY bellweather" I'm shocked that Drew's district that completely closes at 6PM Eastern isn't on there. It's a rematch between a Blue Dog NRA token Democrat and a Tea Party Lunatic that the Democrat won by 647 votes in 2010 out of almost 240k cast (50.08% to 49.81%)

The Iowa polls don't close until 10 PM Eastern. We may know Obama is President with the 11 PM exit polls like 2008 before the votes get tabulated in that race.

Not a chance in that district; the better one in Wisconsin to watch would be Sean Duffy out in the northwestern part of the state. Otherwise most everyone is safe.
