I've been to India. It's a farking sewer. Any "small government" conservative who opposes the EPA should be forced to go live there for a month.

Hell, riding on their roads even gave me a little more respect for traffic cops in the USA. Indian traffic is utter pandemonium. I don't even know why they bother painting lines on the road, everyone ignores them.

I've had two team mates lose nipples in bike crashes. Poly-dactyl here:

Born with an extra pinky toe here in the good ole U.S of A, removed as an adult.

Researched the issue, sometimes it can be genetic, some times developmental (the embryonic toe buds can get split for some reason)..

It tends to be dominant if genetic, and since my kids are all 5-digited, I'm thinking mine was genetic...

So worries. Interesting that I could help. On a related note, I've crashed once a few years ago and slid long and hard on my chest. All that saved me and my nipples was my Garmin HR monitor chest band. It's a very hard plastic, uch more so than Polar. I shudder to think of what would have happened otherwise. My fork broke while I was rolling down the road at about 25. It sucked.
Also, not all of us with nipple rings are crazy! Also, some of us sometimes have to take out the rings and lose the holes =(

I was born with an extra thumb and it wasn't removed until I was about two and a half years old. Growth of the remaining thumb on that hand was stunted enough from just those two years that it's nearly an inch shorter and only about 60% as thick as the one on the other hand.

They should at least get rid of that weird little dangling pinky. That's gonna get ripped off someday.

And they have the responsibility to start a trust fund for a lifetime of custom shoes if they're not going to fix his feet.

Extra fingers that work, though? Pretty cool. Considering the kid's in India, he could be king of the call center with his mad typing skillz.

I'd definitely remove that one finger that's just sticking out. I don't know about fixing the fused fingers. I used to know a girl who had a couple of fused fingers like that. They didn't bother her--might be a handicap today, though, since everyone has to type on keyboards. And these are the kid's thumbs, so maybe best to just leave them alone. They're important

I don't see how you could do much about his feet either, since it's his big toes that are sticking out there awkwardly, and you don't want to remove those. He's going to have a problem with shoes, for sure.

2012-10-31 12:59:44 PM
Do many Indians wear shoes anyway? Don't most Indians wear sandals or go barefoot? Unless they work in cities?

It's a hot dry country. If first world citizens lived there, they might get tired of washing the sand out of their socks, and go barefoot or sandeled, too.
