I've always wanted to sneak a NFL all-star player into a high school game, just to see what they could do by themselves.

It would have to be one of the really all-time meanest players, like Bill Romanowski or Dick Butkus when they were in their prime.

Knows a thing or two about ringers in a high school rematch.

Why is this even a crime? Who did they hurt by playing a private game?
So glad the cops spent resources to go after these terrible criminals. I'm sure after their gambling spree they'd be rioting and raping in the streets.

"Six of the nine men who coached boys ages 5 to 15 are ex-convicts with a history of felony drug, assault and theft charges."

"...another waved a wad of cash in front of the players to underscore how much was riding on them."

I know that people will say things like "One of the Dads will force his kid to play hurt for the bet", but I kind of agree with you. I'd like to believe that it is possible to bet on youth football just for fun. I bet on lots of stuff just to make it more fun. But it probably is not possible.

If they are coaches, which some of them are, they would have incentive to, say, keep a kid in the game with a head injury if they thought it advantageous to their bet. NPR reported that one bet on the league championship game was for $100,000. That's not some dads sitting in the bleachers laying $10 on their kids team to forstall the boredom of having to watch youth football.

I just found an article on a local fox affiliate. I don't know how to cut and paste the link on my phone. But it says over $100,000 was wagered on the championship game. So it appears that that was the total bet on the game, not a single wager. But that's still pretty farked up.

As a youth and high school coach I'm getting a ki . . . WTF?!? 6 of the 9 are ex-cons! How the hell were they allowed to coach in the first place? Even for youth footfall there's a criminal background check.

As a proud parent of a youth football player (whose team is undefeated in the regular season for the first time since 1990, and going to the youth super bowl since god knows when..), youth football parents are assholes.

My sons league is 9-11 years old, and I just happened to be at the game in which the team my kid is gonna play against in the super bowl this weekend, and after said team put up a good margin in the 4th, the farking parents in the stands started chanting "na na na na, hey hey, goodbyyyyyyye".

That's good football chant. In the playoffs. In the NFL. But these were parents of young kids. Taunting the losing team. Who were young kids. Fark these parents.

(side note, I really wanna return the chant, SPECIFICALLY TO THE PARENTS, this Sunday when my kids team creams them in the super bowl, but I'd like to think I'm a better person. Plus, my several broken ribs (as a result of practicing blocks with my kid while wearing no pads...) may inhibit my cheers or jeers.

tl;dr football parents are assholes. Fark you romeo bulldogs, Berkley steelers gonna TAKE THAT SHIAT!!!

Fark my grammar. I was at the game which featured the two teams, the winner of which, my sons team was going to play against in the super bowl...

Is that right? Still doesn't feel right. I dunno. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

There is no way I would ever gamble on youth football. I'm not that sort of degenerate gambler.

I would, however, tailgate before a youth football game, so take that for what it's worth.

if Obama had a son and uncles coaching youth football ....
