That's cool. Romney's fave is Leave it to Beaver...the early seasons, before it go so edgy and in-your-face.

That's just like Obama to love a show about a failing government whose leaders care more about being celebrities than doing their taxpayer-funded job.

I'm surprised that Obama hasn't tried to sway Republican voters with his support of Ron Swanson's pyramid. He might even be able to swing the NRA endorsement and the Meat Packers union. Remember kids, Fish->sport only.

/yes, there's a GLAAD joke there

I was going to say a lazier version of this.

*Spoiler alert regarding the Parks & Rec Halloween epsiode.*

I wonder if Obama ever broke one of his daughter's tiaras just to make things fair.

Ron F*cking Swanson is the funniest thing on TV right now, and nothing is even close.

As a personal chuckle, he's a dead ringer for my dad, circa 1982.

Just make sure we are clear here. The President didn't ask for a lot of eggs and bacon. He asked for all the eggs and bacon that you have.

I was hoping it was Whitney, not only is it one of the funniest sitcoms, he is a Chicagoan after all, and Whitney is like the Chicago version of Seinfeld, but with much hotter chicks.

"When our family gets together to watch TV, we usually watch shows like 'Modern Family' and 'Parks and Recreation' because they give us a good laugh," Obama said.

Omitting "Modern Family" from the headline? Revisionist.

It was retroactively removed. Totally legitimate.

I like Tom. He doesn't do a lot of work around here. He shows zero initiative. He's not a team player. He never wants to go that extra mile. Tom is exactly what I'm looking for in a government employee.

Haha, very funny. But Whitney actually is a pretty good show. Whitney can't act, but neither could Jerry. The show just needs to find its version of Newman, Peterman, etc. and it will be a huge hit and prob go for nine seasons.

I could watch a spinoff just about Andy, Chris Pratt is pure gold. Best physical comedian of the current generation, bar none.

I agree. I just worry that they're taking his lack of intelligence too far sometimes. I worry that in a few years he'll be like Kevin from The Office.

I like the show. It's sort of your run-of-the-mill almost-family comedy, like How I Met Your Mother used to be, but I still laugh a good amount at the jokes.

This?

Amazing what the mods think is worthy.

Maybe Barry should re-think what he allows his young children to watch.

Considering that the main character spent all of last season successfully running for public office and that the anti-government do-nothing is a proud Libertarian, I'm going to go with "doesn't know what the fark they're talking about" for $1000, Alex.

I though he also did an awesome job on Moneyball, especially after I went back and read the book and learned more about the real life details of the guy he portrayed.

I am getting the feeling the we have reached peak "Parks & Rec" levels. I am starting to see character development that makes me think the original story line has run out of original though and they are digging into the canned sitcom bin of ideas.

For those Parks and Rec fans who have not viewed the blooper reals on youtube I strongly encourage you to do so. They have one for every season. It is unbelievably funny.
