I presume the first two sites got linked by a lousy headline. Well, lousier.

They need to reconsider the headline system.

and the repeat policy. Seriously we all do not read every headline every day. It may be a repeat, but it is news to someone. after 24 hours or so, a funny story is still funny..

FTFA:
Pallas's cats had never been documented in the region before, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

"This is an exciting and remarkable discovery that proves that the Pallas's cat exists in the Eastern Himalayas," Rinjan Shrestha, a conservation scientist with WWF, said in a statement. "This probably indicates a relatively undisturbed habitat, which gives us hope, not only for the Pallas's cat, but also the snow leopard, Tibetan wolf and other threatened species that inhabit the region."

No. It is just another sign that global warming is driving all species to high elevations to deal with the heat. In fact, this is exactly what the computer models said would happen, and we are actually ahead of schedule, because it is worse than we thought.

All anyone has to do to prove this to themselves is read the prophetically titled sections of the IPCC report called "How higher temperatures will drive the Pallas's cat to higher elevation, and will be found in Bhutan, and how by 2050, the top of Mt. Everest will be encrusted in a giant pile of mammals."

So, the draw for the linked article is a photo of this cat, but the layout only has a 130px × 86px image that doesn't click through? C'mon guys. Put what you are selling in the window. Write an article about a picture? Maybe make the picture large enough that old guys like me can actually see WTF you are talking about?

You're going to want to put the pear tree in a glass enclosure, for the partridge's sake.
