I'm sorry...but the Nash, Bryant, MWP, Gasol, Howard lineup is just weird looking.

Sometime in 2008
Ok, let's create a poor 3pt shooting lineup with 2 guys that need to touch the ball on every possession, one guy that can pass, and a couple poor defenders with one safety net in the paint"

I've got it!

Mid 2012:
We're seriously not going to stick with the same lineup, are we?

2012-10-30 10:57:20 PM

Kenny B: Looks like Nash will have to do it all himself.

fark you Kobu, I do it myself

Lakers schmakers, I wanna see the new look Mavs.

2012-10-30 11:00:05 PM
It seems the Lakers are making an early push for most players wearing compression sleeves at one time.

So what if we want to play Gasol at the 4!

2012-10-30 11:00:33 PM
You bring in Nash and Howard, yet it's still "let's watch Kobe"

Well, without Dirk I can't get too much into how the Mavs look this game. Just like once LeBron went out the first game didn't mean too much.

Don't like how little Nash has the ball in his hands for the Lakers.

2012-10-30 11:04:15 PM
Okay I was kinda interested in the Mavs, then I saw Carter come in and bomb that awful shot and I remembered they have no chance.

IAmRight: Don't like how little Nash has the ball in his hands for the Lakers.

Well, hell, he's got to get it to Bryant or Howard 2 steps past half court damn near every time down the court.

And, with Gasol out high, he's going to have the ball trying to get it in to Howard or be in the midst of some pick and roll deal

IAmRight: Don't like how little Nash has the ball in his hands for the Lakers.

I do. They need to play inside out. And Nash kicking it out to Metta right there is exactly the reason why. This team doesn't have many shooters, and I prefer Nash shooting those threes.

2012-10-30 11:08:16 PM
Howard jumps on Carter...and gets to shoot FTs?

2012-10-30 11:08:37 PM
Not thrilled with the game. Bench wasn't as strong as I would have like.

Just one game though. Go Cs!!!!!

You and robsul are the same person. You have to be.

Robsul is known to root for the Heat against the Bulls, right?

Nah, Rondo is just a punk b*tch, same as he ever was.

I wasn't making that statement based on that quote, I just hit the most recent post as a matter of ease. I'm processing thousands of posts made by the both of you that makes you guys look like a match made in heaven.

We do both dislike Boston teams a lot. I actually rooted for the Red Sox in 2004, then bandwagon dick fans and the subsequent glorification of everything Boston quickly made me regret that.

Anyway, Rondo talks way too much trash about people to the media and takes cheap shots like that after games are over...then whines that he's not respected enough.

Also, I just realized Ibaka and Gasol just played nearly as many games as LeBron and Durant...but didn't get a damn thing for it. (Well, I guess silver is something...just not quite worth pointing out..."yeah, he played all summer and got...one silver medal.")

2012-10-30 11:22:51 PM
I am astonished at how many minutes the Mavs are giving to Eddy Curry.

I love Crowder, so I'm hoping he replaces Carter at some point this season at the 3.

/still holding out hope, pretty happy they are keeping it so close with our starting front court out.

I lived in WA. There weren't any Red Sox fans that weren't gingers in the state until 2004. (Seriously, in my experience Boston is like an American Mecca for gingers. I know they're known for Irishness...but other cities have Irish people too. Why do gingers love Boston?

Second case in point. You're full of shiat, only Boston celebrities are gingers. Everybody else is hispanic or Jewish.

2012-10-30 11:34:33 PM
And I don't say "ginger" to be pejorative, I just am on a phone and don't want to type "Red-headed American" over and over.

Also, Lakers are gonna have trouble when D-Ho gets in foul trouble. Which is every game with refs that can see.

2012-10-30 11:36:12 PM
I've never BEEN to Boston. Again, throughout at least the west coast, Boston is the official city of all gingers, at least in my experience.

Thank you.

Yeah. That is something that hasn't been discussed. Injuries have been a topic but Howard on the bench with foul trouble has been over looked. He gets stat treatment though so it probably won't be a huge issue.

Also, everyone hates the Yankees. It's cliche. So fake-ass "I just don't like the Yankees" fans adopted the Red Sox. Root for a team because you like them, not because you don't like their enemy.

I don't like the Steelers, but I'm not going to go rooting for the Browns or Ravens.

2012-10-30 11:41:48 PM
Also, Dallas is still up. Interesting.

My mother taught me that lesson as a kid.

If Vince Carter would stop thinking he's a great shooter, they could be ahead even more.

2012-10-30 11:44:13 PM
Crowder looks way too much like Faried, this is trippy. Also, I think the proper breakdown of minutes for the Mavs at the center spot is Brand 49 and Curry -1.

Hmm, I root for the Raiders because I hate the 9ers, but that's because I wanted to have a Bay Area team to root for.

2012-10-30 11:44:53 PM
Seriously, the Lakers whole defense should be to let Carter have the ball and play off him. Go ahead and shoot.

Mike_LowELL: Watching this basketball game reminds me of how much of a joke basketball is. I'll give you an example. On one play, the player was able to shoot the ball over the outstretched hands of his defender. He was able to make this play because he was taller than his opponent. Absolutely disgusting. How can you watch this garbage?

what?

I said Terry wasnmymleast favorite player in the league, I take that back. Carter and Jamison are 1a and 1b.

Interesting game so far. Hope Dallas fans are still into the Mavs.

As long as they make the playoffs, Dallas will care. Honestly even if they sucked, they've built enough basketball love in DFW that people would care if they sucked as long as they drafted good players in that situation. Really though, as long as Dirk is playing Dallas will love the Mavs. Dirk is the king of Dallas sports, at least since the triplets retired.

TheJoe03: The fact that Jay-Z is involved with NBA 2K makes me LESS likely to buy the game.

I was finally able to buy and download it today (thanks for pushing DD back a month 2k, ya jackasses) and I play a quick game with the Nets just to get my feet wet a little. The opening for the Nets is this ridiculous, sepia-tone, slow motion thing with Roy Ayers "We Live in Brooklyn" bumping in the back and I'm like "oooookay" I get that Jay-Z is involved but that was over the top. Then they switch to the Nets alt logo (the one with the basketball that has "Brooklyn Nets" lined around") and Jay-Z's face is the middle of it like it's a quarter and I lost my shiat for 3 minutes I was laughing so hard. It's still fun though and I got it for $23.

Oh God, Jay Z is such a tool. Is it good enough for this long time Jay hater to overcome that aspect of it? If I found it for $23 I'd get it though, great deal.

mediablitz: Getting a free preview of the NBA Pass on Directv. The Cavs/Wiz game is really living up to the hype...

I'm enjoying it because I've seen the Dream Team doc three times already. I'll watch NBA TV til they take it away.

And looking forward to another season of Inside the NBA, as soon as Lakers/Maves ends here shortly.

His influence is biggest in the music selection. IIRC, like half of the beats are either his or Kanye's but you could always turn the music down or off or focus on the other songs. I'm still getting used to the new control scheme (the right stick controls dibbling and shooting with the left trigger and right stick) but it's good and I feel like I have more control of the dribble actions. If you are interested in the PC download, I got my deal from GreenManGaming. It's activates through Steam.

Prediction: Mike Brown will not make it through this season.

/but it will mostly be the bench's fault
