I can't bring myself to bash Gov. Sausage Fingers today. He has a nasty situation to deal with and seems to be doing a good job.

Halloween rules. 364 days a year you tell your child to not take candy from strangers. 1 day you dress your child up in a costume and then encourage them to go and take candy from strangers.

I don't agree with all of his politics, but I like Chris Christie.

A little concerned, though, that he apparently has given more thought about "rescheduling" Halloween than about ensuring a smooth Election Day.

Just kidding of course. But yes, Halloween rules. It is the holiday of my people.

And I missed dressing up this year :-(

Curious, Wiccan or neopagan?

I have always been curious about Germanic Neo-Paganism

I know you are gay. I just thought that you were either a heathen or a wiccan because you said Halloween was the day of your people. Homosexuals see it as their day as well?

Speaking on behalf of all gays everywhere - yes. Yes we do.

But yes, it is quite popular among us. Think about it - a day where you can dress up and put your freak on without repercussions. Or at least a plausible excuse for wearing a Wonder Woman costume.

Would explain my older sisters complete love of the holiday. I guess I should have been paying more attention about that, lol

I caught part of his news conference where he said he didn't give a damn about election day. While I understand WHY he said, it's a week away, the whole "let the politicians who are on the ballot worry about election day thing" was WAY off base. Because, you know Chris, elections are for the people not the politicians, some of us might like to have our voice heard.

i don't get it. Anton was a clown out of greasepaint, his family was circus folk. he was a con man entertainer who was in knee deep with local law and politics. the only thing evil about him was he never put in an honest days work in his life.
who's the other clown, Alistair? an over rated poofster author that watched too many grade B movies. if a couple of rock n rollers didn't mention his name in song the bulk of the population would never have heard of him.
you want to meet true evil and sickness, i'll introduce you to my mother. satan himself lives in fear of the day she dies, goes to hell and takes over the joint.

It's "Trunk-or-Treat" subby.

Gotta keep with the narrative.

Someone on the news said regarding power outages, the order of getting power back on always starts in the nicer neighborhoods and they work their way down. Guess who the last people who get their power fixed? So on election day, the results in Liberal states may be closer than normal, and Virginia and Pennsylvania might favor Romney now

Christie is a fat loud mouth. Go be fat somewhere else.

You can't just go out and admit there is a distinct possibility the child is going to be thrown into the trunk and driven off into the woods. People start getting suspicious. You need to stick with "trick", because it's much more vague and not near as threatening sounding.

So what would happen if this happened in December and some politician suggested postponing Christmas?

All hallows eve is a specific date just like Christmas.

I'm getting a bunch of empty candy boxes from various stores and setting them on a table on the porch with a sign hanging from it which reads "Take ONE!"

I like the fact that he shoots from the hip. You may not like what he says, but you know where he stands and what he means. It's refreshing in a politician.
Hey Atlantic City. I told you to get out! Now we have to come fish you out.

Given what's going on in NJ right now, I think if you live in the area and you can spare a shiat about Election Day right now, your priorities are a bit farked. Sorry.
