Did the NHTSA ever crash-test the Lada, or run three wheeled tilt-a-whirl offset crash tests on any cars? Not saying that it was a Lada, but that guy is going to be a whole Lada sore tomorrow, lucky though he will be.

Not wearing a seat belt and his scalp was saved from being shredded by a hoodie. Walks away. Meanwhile, I tear my rotator cuff by sleeping weird on my shoulder. I think I hate this guy.

Karma seems to work sometimes... It looked to me that he was trying to cut off the recording vehicle before he got stopped from getting around the bus...

He is lucky though, most times that type of Karma is usually fatal...

Based on all the dashcam footage I've seen in the last year the only thing I can conclude is Russians suck at the driving...

Strange thing this "luck". One would think having a lot of it would prevent a crash.

I'd hang that farker for endangering the lives of others. His parents ought to be hung as well for unleashing such a piece of shiat upon the world

Driver survived, the steering is at the left side of the car. If you look near the end, you can see the steering wheel that popped out. This is the driver. The passenger did not survive and considering that he is not there and most likely thrown out of the window, I suspect that the passenger did not wear a seatbelt.

Had the passenger belted up, I think it would've been likely he would survive since the driver did as well.

Adrenaline induced fight or flight retard strength and shock.

I'm sure both the driver we saw, and the passenger passed right the fark out shortly after wards.

and fark that driver, he cut between two heavy vehicles at speed. reckless endangerment. all that mess was his fault.

I only want to hang those that cause harm to life, liberty or property to others through force or fraud.

Reckless driving that causes a crash is both force and fraud. Force through the use of a motor vehicle to cause damage to other vehicles through negligence. Had it been the result of a massive mechanical failure that is not part of routine maintance he would have to pay for the damage and that's it. But since he was driving like a reckless asshole it's entirely his fault and he should pay the terrible price.

I figure we'll only have to hang a few (thousand) assholes like this before everybody starts to settle down. Either that or we'll kill all of these kinds of assholes. Either way the world is a better place for it.

You guys totally fail at reading, I guess! But seriously, that reckless piece of crap driver did NOT deserve to come out of that mess unharmed... I think a few weeks in a coma or a little spine injury might have slapped some sense in that dumbass... Now he'll just go around thinking he's goddamned invincible!

Obnoxious irresponsible beemer dick deserved to die.

Instead, he's some kind of lucky hero, never mind how much property his stupidity destroyed and how many lives his idiocy threatened.

He should be dropped from a very tall crane in some sort of crash test. Don't really care if anyone's filming or taking notes.

I read the article and have seen the video pop up lots in the past 3 days, with each description playing a game of telephone. The Daily Fail is only basing their 'driver survives!' assertion based on a single youtube description. I don't know which is a bigger fail: treating the Daily Fail as a legitimate news source or trusting and basing an article's facts on Youtube comments.

I look at the back end of that car which has been partially torn off, the backseat of the car which has maybe 2 feet of usable space, the missing driver's seat, the unlikelihood that a passenger would be thrown to the back of a car in a forward collision, the limited space for the passenger to travel between the seats and roof especially while the car is being crushed inwards and how a driver could walk away despite his seat missing and having the left side of his body bearing the brunt of the crash.

Now if the driver and passenger weren't wearing seatbelts, the driver could've been peeled out of the car, momentum would've thrown the passenger to where the driver was and the passenger would've been able to easily walk away from the crash which seems far more believable.

Modern autos will largely toss themselves on the figurative grenade for you, especially with a passenger-side impact like this walking away from even a pretty harsh crash with no more than the very real need for a beer is actually not particularly remarkable.

I have a couple stories off relatives in the "car was scrap, I didn't even need a plaster" vein, as do most families by now, I'd imagine. I mean, you're still lucky when it happens, but it's more like winning a hand in five-card stud with a high pair, or finding exact change for your morning coffee under the couch cushions when you need it than it is like getting struck by lightning or winning a million bucks in the lottery. Basically, it's a desirable outcome, but it's one that the car was specifically designed to encourage, so not entirely worth getting excited over when it happens.

You didnt tear your rotator cuff by sleeping on it, that may aggravate it enough to numb your fingers to have the doctor check it out but you had that issue festering for years but ignored it. 3 surgeries and a scope/deburrment on mine, farking sucks and still hurts but now its a dull ache and no more numb fingers.

This kid deserves to have his license taken away for 2 years for driving too aggressively, farking dummy.

Probably both. In more advanced countries, like Kentucky, it would have been held in by duct tape (Kentucky Chrome)

If Americans all had dash cams by law like in Russia, you would be seeing a lot of the same.

There is no such thing as a car "accident".... someone involved always used poor judgement.

its obvious at this point that Russians cannot be hurt.

Not saying this is the case, but for all anyone here knows the driver could have been swerving because of some mechanical failure or too dodge a kid in the road. We don't see the car until it swerves in front. I find it strange that so many farker's are willing to say he deserved to die without really even knowing what happened.

For more fun and games look for cams from Asian countries. Lots of bikes either getting run over by blind drivers or riders running into the back of parked cars.

Yep. this is what happens when bad drivers try to "shoot the gap" at excessive speed...dude is ridiculously lucky to be alive, as is his passenger in the back seat...
