I'd love to see Fallon's awkward pauses after a joke without an audience.

Still think the Jews have something to do with this.

Didn't Conan tape a bunch of shows during the blackout? I remember there wasn't an audience at all.

This picture is begging for a "Soon" caption.

Letterman isn't filmed live? I guess his viewers would be violating their retirement-home mandated curfews.

Does this mean it's time for everyone to panic?

Good to hear Chris Elliot is getting work.

I'll be mad if this screws up Louis CK hosting SNL.

Late night shows are rarely taped live. Even Jimmy Kimmel is rarely live these days despite "live" in the title, though he is late enough to talk about shows that aired earlier in the evening east coast time like DWTS and Bachelor/ette.

Who cares about Letterman? I'm kinda pissed that HIMYM is a re-run. Seems like a pretty blatant excuse to stretch out the season to me.

Huh. this morning Kimmel was quite insistent that he would be doing his show in Brooklyn regardless. Maybe the venue lost power.

Jimmy Kimmel was live up until he had that on-air asthma attack and hospital trip.

/The show started sucking after they went to tape, and I stopped watching.

Dave doesn't actually live in the theater, either. But he does bang chicks there.

I think I know why Letterman isn't cancelling tonight's show: he's got Denzel Washington on. Nobody cancels on Denzel farking Washington.

Wonder who Letterman's guests will be. The episode Craig Ferguson did where he interviewed Stephen Fry with no audience was great, if Letterman has the right guests booked his could turn out pretty well too.

Top 10 Things to Do During Hurricane Sandy

10: Drown
9: Get electrocuted walking dog in flooded street
8: Three words: crushed by crane
7: Stabbed by looters
6: Shot by looters
5: Shot and stabbed by first responders for making them go out in a hurricane
4: Get killed by tree falling on house
3: Enjoy the blackout by overdosing on heroin
2: Borrow a cup of heroin from the neightbors

And the number one thing to do during Hurricane Sandy --

1. Break out those banned 20 oz. cups and start bailing, baby!

Only other time I recall Letterman doing a show with no audience was when they taped an episode in his office for no reason in the 1980s. Teri Garr in the shower in his office bathroom.

Actually Kimmel is supposed to have Howard Stern on tomorrow night which could be a lot of fun.

Assuming chimney manor doesn't get washed away. Hope that works out.

Yup, no audience. ROFL.

I generally like Letterman well enough, but doing his show during this storm seems like a real jerk move to me, unless he can operate his studio by himself. The camermen, sound guys, lighting and audio technicians and several others have to brave this ludicrous storm because Letterman says the show must go on? I hope he wasn't threatening to fire any of his crew that didn't make it in.
