Hickory-smoked: TV's Vinnie: Well excuse me, Total Stranger. You see, I just so happen to be pretty much living in nearly every single demographic that Romney & Ryan have a seething hatred for and wants to extinguish. If those punks win, I know my life is going to go from difficult to downright unlivable. So, excuse me for wanting such chunks of dung to FOAD before they obtain the power to inflict their cruelty upon others.

Dude, you're hitting near Free Republic levels of paranoia. Yes, we all know Romney's ideas are awful. He would make it harder to get health care, harder to get an education, there would be less access to women's health care, less environmental protection, gay rights would come to a halt, etc etc etc.

But seriously, he's not trying it just to persecute you. He's not going to pick up the phone and have us all sacked in the night and shipped to FEMA detainment camps. Hell, he probably wouldn't even be able to overturn Roe v. Wade any more than Bush did. Another term of robber baron corporate-interest dominated politics would be bad enough without getting freaky about it.

So just take a few deep breaths and leave the conspiracy fear to the Republican base. It's all they have, anyway.

Do you deny that he will work to overturn Obamacare?

Do you deny that he will turn over Medicare over to the states as vouchers, just like Ryan wants?

Do you deny that he will throw Social Security into Wall Street's woodchipper?

Sensata is a Bain Capital subsidiary. They employ 200 or so middle class people in Freeport, IL manufacturing some type of sensor found in car engines (I'm not a gearhead). The company is healthy and profitable. But Bain is outsourcing the entire operation to China, simply to increase the profit margin.

And Bain is forcing the Illinois employees to train their Chinese replacements.

Yes, yes, I know Romney is no longer the managing director of Bain. But he's still a major shareholder, and he's currently running as a "tough-on-China" president. If he walked into the Bain board room and told them to stop the deal - one would assume they would listen. But Romney hasn't answered any of the Sensata employees' calls, emails, or letters - and no national press outside of Huffington Post have picked up the story. Needless to say, Romney isn't likely to get a single vote in Freeport, IL. It's a small town whose economy doesn't want to see a successful company send 200 well-paying jobs to China.

Long story short - Sensata is a perfect example of what Bain Capital is, and what we can expect from Mitt Romney's business and economic policies.

Dude, I don't know you, non do I wish to, but you really need to get some therapy or meds or something. Because when Romney wins I just don't want you doing anything to hurt yourself or others.

Hollie Maea: If his bus gets stuck and has to be rescued, he will lose the election badly.

That's precisely why he should fark the bus and take his wife's dancing horse. Rafalca don't give a shiat about road debris. Romney should gallop into Jersey with a big ole mess of cheesy grits in one hand, and Old Glory in the other. The news helicopters will put a spotlight on him, and on TV, he'll be glowing just like Jesus after the Resurrection.

Election over.

doyner: MyRandomName: His far liberals have fallen. Shame this man for doing charity and helping! What a sad lot.

I know, right? Remember all those Romney aid packages in New Orleans in 2005? Or all those other emergencies since then?

Or how he saved the jobs of 170 people at Sensata instead of making $$$ from outsourcing those jobs to China.

Oh, wait...he DELIBERATELY IGNORED the pleas of the Sensata employees to save their jobs because money's more important to him than the average American.

LectertheChef: oldernell: Rmoney should leave this to the real relief agencies and FEMA, who are organized for this sort of thing. Perhaps they will have the good sense to contact the RED CROSS and deliver what they collect to their centralized distribution point, but I doubt it.

Red Cross won't accept the stuff. It's actually easier and more efficient for them to take monetary donations, and buy in bulk from local suppliers.

This right here.

Unfortunately, due to logistical constraints the Red Cross does not accept or solicit individual donations or collections of items. Items such as collected food, used clothing and shoes must be sorted, cleaned, repackaged and transported which impedes the valuable resources of money, time, and personnel.

So if I lived in a state affected by a natural disaster wouldn't I want my local and state authorities empowered with the ability to send aid where it was needed most, by those who actually know the area? Also with the backing of the Federal Government providing aid as requested by the state to the area's that needed it most?

The Fark Progressive Brigade needs to get their heads out of their collective arseholes and maybe study up on how FEMA actually works and the bureaucratic nightmare that it puts into place. While FEMA may have improved since Katrina, State and Local officials should be the one's coordinating relief efforts. Federal assistance should consist of requested resources sent to where it is needed most as dictated by those who are aware of the actual situation.

Did anyone learn anything from the way the Vietnam War was directed? Do we want our Federal disaster relief agency run the same way?

Study up and stop acting like a bunch of parrots.

It's nice he's doing something, but why not donate $50 million to disaster relief?

He has the money. A bus full of supplies isn't much, and he has the means to do a lot more.

It might even help him get elected.

But, he'd have to part with his Precious in order to do that.

Because Obama is from Chicago, and Chicago elections are known to be fraught with dead voters. he's also very popular with the dead demographic.

TV's Vinnie: Eshman: There's a mighty fine line between fighting fire with fire and outright wishing death upon your opponents. Democrats currently have the moral high ground because we don't have [as many] high-level officials advocating violence and hatred. Let's farking keep it that way. We can defend our policies without taking on the right's childish tactics.

It's a no-brainer that Romney will be a jellyfish and simply exist to rubberstamp everything that Ryan and the gop Congress demand he sign.

I'm not advocating violence. I am advocating them to suffer the levels of misery that they wish to inflict upon others.

Don't like that and want me to be a pussy? TOUGH.

Hmm funny because most reports have been praising FEMAs response thus far. Why don't you ask Gov. Christie how pleased he's been with relief efforts and how quickly he's been able to secure emergency funds?

Go ahead, I'll wait.

Nah, people wouldn't know/care he hardly existed, no?

Rich man making money to build his tower higher above the fray at more pay and less consequence-ay?

Do you think the mice scrabbling at the bottom care too much what happens at the top of the tower?

What a rich man does with his time?
