How much you want to bet that this bus will just so happen to spend all of its time in affected swing states?

Of course, if that's the case, then why is Mitt picking winners and losers like that?

Is he handing out plastic garbage bags?

2012-10-29 01:49:54 PM
It's a good idea as long as it's not a bullshiat photo op or empty promise like Paul Ryan at the soup kitchen. I'll believe it when the supplies arrive to their destination.

2012-10-29 01:50:09 PM
Is that campaign buss going to continue to do that to every disaster area even after he eliminates FEMA?

2012-10-29 01:52:33 PM
I wonder if Paul Ryan will show up to re-hand out supplies that have already been handed out.

2012-10-29 01:57:31 PM
I imagine that will work real well on debris blocked, flooded roads

/bus must be a 10x10

Depends on whether they have to send out the short bus or not. (Bwaw, bwaw, bwaw ....)

Thank you, thank you, thank you ... I'll be here all week. Tip your wait persons.

I'm assuming this is something Romney has done in the past. I'd hate to think he is trying to capitalize on a situation for shady reasoning.

Yeah, they really sprung for the big bucks.

Rmoney should leave this to the real relief agencies and FEMA, who are organized for this sort of thing. Perhaps they will have the good sense to contact the RED CROSS and deliver what they collect to their centralized distribution point, but I doubt it.

In case they run out of bags, the women can use their binders as make-shift umbrellas.

Why would he? Romney said during a primary debate that FEMA needs to be canceled, and that federal outlays for disaster relief are "immoral"

Romney only cares for people who live in states with GOP governors.

Someone shook the Etch-A-Sketch.

My governor used to be a Republican but now he's an Independent. Maybe Romney will call and hang up right when he answers.

2012-10-29 03:00:36 PM
Hurricane Etch-a-Sketch will result in a lot of campaign promises by Romney that will appear, to the malevolent liberals, as complete reversals, but that conservatives will recognize as having ALWAYS been his positions.

Nice double meaning.

Considering it's Romney it'll probably be a water and vinegar mix.

The Red Cross has already explained how this sort of shiat hampers relief efforts.

While it may sound nice in some sort of romantic Dickensian feeding pickpockets by showing up with a tin of soup and some crusts of bread sort of way. it's actually totally farking useless and annoying.

All this stuff has to be sorted, cleaned, prepped etc and that costs relief workers time that they don't have.

Donate money. That's what they need.

I didn't know the President could Baptise people? Obama being a Muslim would never have used that power of course.

The only trucks we wanted to see after our recent Cat 1 were utility trucks to turn the freaking electricity back on. A Category 1 is not that bad of a storm. Around here, it's more of a pain in the ass than a catastrophe.

Some people don't have multiple houses.

These people should borrow a house from their parents.

He's going to send them all to China. Where it's dry.

2012-10-29 06:04:53 PM
Hey, it works for the Taliban.

It's a good idea though. Disaster relief should know no partisan bickering.

We don't want another Joplin on our hands, now do we?

He should be criticized for this.

Anybody?

Did you learn English by reading a dictionary cover to cover or are your opinions just so completely rubbish that nothing you say about them makes sense?

2012-10-29 06:06:23 PM
So under Romney's idea of government we would have 50+ different disaster government relief organization with none of them in charge and random people who have no idea what they are doing helping out and most likely making things worse?

That is their idea of a "efficient" government.

$10,000?

Funny I though Ryan/Romney said doing things like this make people lazy and "entitled" so why are they going against their own beliefs?

2012-10-29 06:07:38 PM
Well, actually, they don't have any food, but you will get a voucher for food which may or may not be able to exchange for enough to eat.

Cletus C.: He should be criticized for this.

Well according to Ryan the bible tells us to not help people because then they become dependent and can't do things for themselves.

2012-10-29 06:08:47 PM
I'll go with,

see the private sector can bus in supplies over underwater bridges when it's a R

Buses can't go under water with a D

2012-10-29 06:09:27 PM
Well, I guess those assholes from the Red Cross and FEMA feel pretty stupid now.

That's what I don't understand.

It's just a category 1 storm.

Yeah, it's got some help, but seriously, this just isn't going to be a Katrina like catastrophe.
