Tony Romo still sucks.

No real Jets fan wants Tebow to start, we'd rather suffer through a mediocre Jets team like we have for decades than watch the shiatshow that would be a Tebow circus.

Or, they could start Touchdown Jesus. And . . . lose in Week 9.

It has to be great for a teams morale and motivation to read Monday's newspaper every week to find out if the quarterback was replaced.

Rex, you're a genius.

Speaking for the rest of the country, we would really love some more red noses and big floppy shoes, so please get to Tebow Time ASAP.

In fairness, the way Sanchez has played really would put any backup in the conversation for starter.

Hasn't the Rex Ryan-era Jets always been a "circus" of some kind?

If Tebow truly is your backup why not give him the chance? That's what a backup QB is for... Tebow can't possibly be any worse than Sanchez at this point.

I've also heard rumors of Tebow going to Cleveland for McCoy?

Most Jets fan like Rex Ryan. As much of a blowhard he is, the Jets are better for having him at their coach. Tebow was just Woody Johnson's way of trying to suck the fundie fan dollar.

I think you're exactly right here...I wonder if the fame game has turned on Tebow at this point, the hype reaching the point that Ryan and crew will obstinately refuse to back down when with a different backup that guy might have sniffed the playing field at this point.

It of course pains me to say this as I'm a longstanding member of the anti-Tebow crowd.

Can you imagine what would happen to the Jets if they told Sanchez he was going to throw 62 passes, including 20 passing plays consecutively? We'd see the first ever Double Jake.

They just were blown out by a terrible Miami team. They are near last in offense and passing in the NFL. Sanchez is barely completing over 50% of his passes.

Please explain how Tebow could be any worse. If you don't start Tebow, trade for another QB and start that guy. You simply can't allow a QB as bad as Sanchez to stay in the game.

Start Tebow and just run him up the middle every play. You would probably generate more yards than the current offense.

Shonn Greene is actually a pretty good RB. As of last week, he was the best 3rd down back in the league and currently has more rushing yards than Darren McFadden, Lesean McCoy, and Matt Forte.

The Jets are a regional/divisional joke right now, worthy of 3 minutes of Sportscenter.

Starting Tebow would turn them into a national joke.

I'm not sure Sanchez is capable of attempting that many throws. He'd just stop catching the snaps after 45 or so

I was gonna say, the probability of at least one fumble in 62 plays is gotta be nearly 95%.

any ~real~ jet fan wouldnt care one fark about the Tebow fan boi's and still want to see Tebow start over Sanchez. The guy (sanchez) is farking bad at QB I really question who in that huddle really thinks he is going to get it done.

all this proves is Rex is a biatch because he was against the tebow trade and is willing to let the kid play any position other then QB. Reciever? punt blocker? who the fark came up with that? probably the same guy who thinks the wildcat is a hand-off/run up the middle.

Oh, please. No coach would *ever* have his QB do that in any game. And especially not in two consecutive games. And especially especially not in two consecutive games that happened to be played against the same opponent. And especially especially especially not with an banged-up Oline that got cremated the first game.

Out of 32 quarterbacks last year, Tebow was ranked as 33rd. He was so bad, they made an extra spot for him.

When he was in college, he would face a team with maybe one or two NFL players on it. And those one or two might not have even been starters in the NFL.

Now he faces starters in the NFL, entire teams of them, and his lack of advanced skill is noticeable.

They got some production out of the running game a couple of weeks ago. With the Cowboys passing 75% of the time you would have to have gotten some yards just on the principle that they'd never expect you to run again.

No disagreement there, and having your #1 RB out sucks, but even when down by a lot you can still run an effective hurry-up offense by mixing in somewhere around 35-40% draws.

And, with a team like the NY Giants who have an arsenal of good pass rushers, you really shouldn't be concerned with how much running yards you actually accumulate; you just have to do it SOMEWHAT regularly to keep them honest and not let their entire defensive line feel comfortable just pinning their ears back and teeing off towards Romo on every play.

What are you basing that on? I see him at 28th, ahead of Rex Grossman, Sam Bradford, John Skelton, Christian Ponder, Curtis Painter, and Blaine Gabbert. (Sanchez was 23rd)

Honestly, the Cowboys still win if Bryant's hand is curled up a little more, or if he doesn't try to break his fall at all (and instead probably breaks some ribs).

Yup...that was one of those "if you only turned the ball over a thousand times instead of a million, you still win that game". And Rex Ryan's defense that game deserved a way better fate. They were fed a sh*t taco all game long and still kept the team in it.
