Hey, at least they didn't P-shop him at a KKK rally. After all, the AP would like to help Obama create that civil unrest (see thread below).

Romney urged the Ohio crowd to make a contribution to Red Cross or other relief agency ''in any way you can imagine to help those in harm's way,'' then added a political footnote.

''I know the people of the Atlantic coast are counting on Ohio and the rest of our states,'' Romney said. ''But also I think the people of the entire nation are counting on Ohio because my guess is that if Ohio votes me in as president, I'll be the next president of the United States.''

What else would Romney be doing? He's not an elected official and has no job. Hell, even when he has a salaried job, he's not responsible for anything that happens.
As for the hurricane, that's not a matter for the government. Romney has already re-affirmed he would dismantle FEMA -- why do we even need it? When American cities are destroyed, that's a matter for the private insurance companies. If public utilities are disrupted, the survivors can always go wait in one of their vacation homes.

Obama, trying to show effective leadership in a time of impending crisis across some of the country's biggest population centers, met with federal officials monitoring the storm from a video hook-up and then addressed the country from the White House.

Nice. ANyone else catch that? Here's the important part: Obama, trying to show effective leadership... So nice. No bias there. He's not "doing his job", he's 'trying' to do a very basic part of his job. Personally, I have no doubt that he will do it just fine, but the AP is really erasing that stupid "liberal media" shiat as fast as they can, aren't they?

What a joke, this is an international news agency, one of the 'bigs', and they don't even try to hide it.

Points to subby for seeing the AP byline. I know it seems obvious, but I can't even begin to tell you how many people see a story they don't write that was written by AFP, Reuters, AP, etc., and posted on Yahoo(For example), and blow right past the byline to rant and rave about how much Yahoo sucks, and their news is all "biased", although very little content comes from Yahoo itself. Morons miss the 'AP' tag all of the time.

Yeah, I like how this is supposedly an example of Romney putting aside campaigning. Also, if I was in Ohio, I'd be offended at the pandering ging on. I mean, he's one zipper away from just sucking off every male in the state and nobody feel like they're being treated like fools?

Uhm, I think the idea was Obama being all presidentially concerned about the storm contrasted with Romney yucking it up photo.

A liberal plot, not a conservative plot, see?. Media plots can sometimes be hard to gauge, I know.

Though, if you look at other sites where the AP story appeared there was a selection of storm, Obama and other photos to go with it.
