I dunno... they don't even broadcast in HD, so WWE would still have to do major work.

But, it would be an easy way to get Vince all the clearance he wants.

I dont think Vince really cares how he gets on the air as long as he does. Current TV already has distribution deals and that is valuable to him

WWE officials were not happy at all with the crowd at last night's Hell In a Cell pay-per-view. The feeling was that the main event would have came off better on TV if the crowd would have been into it like officials expected.

Yeah, it's the crowd's fault the show sucked.

Those guys need to read sites like this on a Monday night thread to see that no one ANYWHERE gives a single flying fark about "Ryback". No one cares. The fact that they had to add 2 matches that weren't previously announced in order to make sure they filled out the full 3 hours says a lot about his ability or lack thereof to hold his own for more then maybe 10 minutes. But holding the PPV in ATL was a huge mistake. I wonder if they will get any more PPV's for a couple of years - the fans did suck, but the show itself and the idea behind the main event were just flawed from day one.

Vince doesn't care about smarks. In fact, he goes out of his way to do whatever he can to piss them off.

Even though his largest drawing era was due to smark-like booking, he still holds onto the idea that his senile ass knows what is best in a world that has passed him by.

Now, granted, it is WWE's job to get over what they want over, but some input from the fans is needed. Look at Daniel Bryan, for example. And Vince even tried his best to make sure that didn't happen. But, because the fans don't always play along, Vince gets angry, and we get the Zack Ryder story, where Vince wastes a perfectly good performer just to punish the people who pay his salary.

Show was a definitely dull in spots, but from all I've seen/heard, the crowd was never into it to begin with. IMO, all PPVs should be in known hot markets.

We are in NC right?

Get ready for all Flair, Cena and Jim Ross being fisted on live TV...Vince is gonna pull out all the stops.

I kid, he doesn't give a shiat, as long as his wife is still in the political hunt, and he still thinks he has a shot at legitimate entertainment industry respect....he thinks he knows how to book his product.

Honest question since I have only been off work to go to Smackdown tapings here, what do you guys think of the PPV crowds Seattle has had? Been a Wrestlemania and a couple of countdown to Wrestlemania shows I know of, but I only been divorced a couple years and just got back into wrestling like 4-5 years ago.

Wrestlemania crowds don't count.

WM is filled with the people from around the world who go specifically because it's Wrestlemania. Because of the size of the crowd, it can be both mark and smark heavy, which goes a long way toward explaining the Daniel Bryan reaction at WM28 and the RAW the night after (because if you have tickets for one, you're not going to get tickets to the other?).

I've always wondered, has WWE ever tried a big show in Seattle? They seem hot for NFL, NBA (not mention to be mean) and MLS, so I wondered if they would be a good crowd

So if I am hearing you guys right, Seattle has had the one WM, a Smackdown taping every year before WM, and...that's it? Nothing else ever? I would think that Seattle would draw for a PPV good because you can get folks from BC, OR, and eastern WA too. Key Arena holds 20+K for that sort of event, and of you need bigger, there are two open stadiums, one with a retractable roof. Both hold well over 45K, and probably more like 55-60K minimum for a big event if they needed it. But we have had nothing? Interesting...

Like I said in last night's thread, HITC blows and needs to tossed into the same hole where In Your House/Over The Edge/New Year's Revolution/Fatal 4 Way are.

Don't bring a loaded gun to a knife fight and use it as a hammer (unless you're some martial arts expert and feel lucky). HITC was built on people getting their bodies destroyed and beaten for the crowd's pleasure, not to mention that a)HITC used to be a type of match that could occur at any type of PPV and b)Both the WHC and WWEC matches used to be held in the cell, but I guess that's not the case.

Gotta love this PG era.

Summerslam 90 has a higher mortality rate, IMO.

Hercules & Paul Roma (w/Slick) beat The Rockers (6:00) via countout.

Kerry Von Erich pinned Mr. Perfect (w/Bobby Heenan) (5:15) to win the WWF I-C Title.

Sherri Martel beat Sapphire via forfeit.

Warlord pinned Tito Santana (5:28).

The Hart Foundation beat Demolition Smash & Crush in three falls to win the WWF Tag Title.

Jake Roberts beat Bad News Brown (4:44) via DQ.

Jim Duggan & Nikolai Volkoff beat The Orient Express (Sato & Tanaka) (3:22) when Duggan pinned Tanaka.

Randy Savage pinned Dusty Rhodes (2:15).

Hulk Hogan (w/Big Boss Man) beat Earthquake (w/Jimmy Hart and Dino Bravo) (13:16) via countout.

WWF World Champ Ultimate Warrior beat Rick Rude (10:05) in a "steel cage" match.

/Bold means dead. And, the number increases by one if you want to count the Legion of Doom run in during the tag team title match.
