Exactly. Some posts display disappointment about the severity of the storm. Just because the East coast
doesn't look like London after being bombed in WW2, there have been deaths, the disruptions, the damage, the aftermath... costs will be well in to the billions. And think what it will do to insurance rates in the coming years. Or the tax increases to repair local infrastructure. Yes, the effects of the storm will linger for some time.

Just because your lawn chair didn't tip over doesn't mean others haven't suffered or won't pay the price in the future.

Yes. All of those middle of the ocean summer homes, store fronts, and railroad trestles often shed pieces of themselves to wash ashore in front of a big storm.
