1) Its much more densely populated, which increases effects by an order of magnitude. 2) Its combined with two other weather systems--all that energy is creating a super-noreaster 3) its a farking huge storm that is affecting many more states and cultures at once. 4) Everyone who has been asked for their analysis, from professors of atmospheric sciences to professional forecasters is saying they have never seen this particular combination of tropical storm meeting winter system over the most densely populated part of the country--and no one knows exactly what is going to happen 5) Its hitting the financial core of liquid capital management in the Western Hemisphere if not the world.

styckx: Worst is over.. TWC has resorted to highlight packages now..

I think the most dramatic is over - thus the endless loop of one wildly blowing sign we will see over and over for days on TWC and elsewhere. I think the worst will take days. Continued flooding, unhappy people without things they want / need, sanitation problems, politicians making outrageous claims, etc. In my experience in South Florida - the hurricane was the FUN part.

Exactly.. It was an impressive storm. Usually when Hurricanes get past The Carolinas they fizzle out and get pushed out to sea or at most hit us and as soon as it touches a sandbar falls apart completely.

This MF'er was like "fark this shiat, fark your cold water, and fark your land masses, I'm turning into a giant farking Noreaster now and ain't shiat you can do about it"..

I have a HUGE boner for my emergency plan / equipment. If I lived somewhere where I experienced unexpected 12+ hour outages 7 or more times a year I wouldn't need to fark myself because, clearly, somebody is taking care of that for me.
