Sargun: Why don't you people move from places that are prone to get hit by blizzards and hurricanes? My federal taxes need to stop going to you irresponsible folk who decided to go live by the water in hurricane and blizzard country. Every time something like this happens nobody decides to move and it happens all over again.

Hurricane country, tornado country, earthquake country, &c. Pick your poison. What's your natural disaster?

marius2: It's pretty damn calm here still in Chesapeake, VA. Apparently the storm will hit us again tonight, but it just looks like a crappy day out. No rain, not much wind. Apparently some near historic flooding though.

Yeah, it didn't look so bad here in Hampton when I peaked out my window about 45 minutes ago, but it seems to be picking up now. I'm an idiot for not taking my dog out sooner. :/

I'm watching Foxnews on the old VIPBox...the reporter is in Delaware. They played a clip of one guy on the Jersey Shore. Since it's Jersey, I wouldn't be surprised if a body washed up while he was doing his report.

/As I say that the DE reporter tried stepping in the sand, and it sucked his leg down, it was pretty funny.

G'luck.

I'm favoring you just because, well that's the coolest thing a person could say or do at a time like this.

Yup, that merits a sponsorin'.

FaygoMaster: marius2: While I hope you stay dry, I have to ask how the roads are looking in Nawfolk. I'm hoping they close ODU tomorrow as well, I have zero desire to take a Latin test....

Well, the street in front of my house (about 1-1/2 miles north of ODU) is a lake, but I haven't heard about Hampton Blvd or the midtown tunnel, which sounded as though it had been intermittently available. The reports I'm hearing is that downtown is a mess as it always is when it floods. I just received a student announcement from ODU stating that they were going to make a decision about the University's operational status later today.

Thanks, stay safe!
