Shotgun. End of issue.

Or a cattle prod to make them fear your home.

Or rat poison...

Yes, I hate raccoons...

What the fark?? They introduced the raccoon into Germany?? Why would you do that?

FTFA: "Goering ordered the release of a breeding pair of raccoons when he was the Third Reich's chief forester in 1934, to give hunters something to shoot."

Oh for fark's sake.

Ok, once again: The first racoons (two pairs) were set free by a district forestry superintendent named von Berlepsch at the request of the forests owner, a fowl breeder named Haag, in the Edersee lake area, Hesse, in 1934. Sorry, no leading nazis were involved. Later, some more coons escaped from fur farms.

Goering ordered the release of a breeding pair of raccoons when he was the Third Reich's chief forester in 1934, to give hunters something to shoot.

Old legend is old. But still a legend.

The problem is, nobody ever thought to import Coon Hounds and hire a few of them Southerners to teach the Germans how to hunt.
Got lemons? Make Lemonade.
Got Raccoons? Have a bar-b-que.

Really, if Germany wanted to control them, it would be encouraged to "kill upon sight". The meat can be used for many things too.

Don't even have to get Southerners. Can go with urban Detroit hunters:
