"Spaniards are proud of their centuries-old sheep rearing traditions and hold the native Merino breed of sheep in particular esteem."

Funny, every time I reared a sheep, my esteem dropped real low. What are they doing different? Cuddling?

I was there a month ago for the protest violence. It was really scary. People were getting cracked in the face with batons and kicked over by the police. Over zealous cops and fed up citizens are never a good mix. This time all ewe had to worry about was getting bleat up. It was a welcome change.

When I was a little kid, under the influence of the cartoon strip Tumbleweeds, I thought the song was about a hapless cowboy, Dirty Deeds, and his slow-talking Native sidekick, Thunder Chief.
