It doesn't matter what he does since he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Republican ideology will not yield to reality.

Well, I guess it's time to appoint a special prosecutor to corner this asshat and get him to lie under oath.

And all anti-life people would vote for a Democrat even after watching him perform a late term abortion in person. That's how it goes.

But I still don't see where this guy's job performance is affected by who he screws around with. Right, Bill and Hillary?

The difference is that Bill Clinton didn't build his entire career on telling other people how they should behave, but you already knew that.....

Like every other "conservative" politician, I wouldn't care less who he/she was sleeping with except for this: if he/she is running on the Republican platform of "family values" and keeping people like me from being able to get married to protect the "sanctity of marriage".

I don't like hypocrites.

eraser8: The race is close. How is that surprising? Voters in places like Tennessee have been trained to be loyal to the Republican party above all else.

What we're seeing, in this election especially, is the unnerving fact that very few Americans, and especially in the flyover states, know or care anything at all about politicians. Certainly not their State Congressmen, who they know (if at all) merely as a guy in a suit who shows up to local Lions Club dinners now & then. What they DO know about this douchebag is that he's from Tennessee, he has the requisite (R) after his name; and that's all they really need.

All these other scandals and downright disgusting behavior, which appalls those of us who are more politically savvy, doesn't touch these uninformed idiots, because they don't realize what it is that politicians do, or why their personal behavior reflects on their political merits, or why anyone else should care. As far as they can tell, all this stuff might just be mean lies the "librul media" is inventing, because a nice Tennessee doctor wouldn't really do that stuff. He's one of our boys! And even if he did, those northern reporters shouldn't be interfering in our business.

They're insular, and they want to stay that way. They don't want to know more.

2012-10-28 07:06:30 PM
It's because these people choose Party over ideals 100% of the time. They will always vote for the Republican over the Dem, even if the 'Pub is caught multiple times on live TV slaughtering puppies while raping children and holding a KKK rally. If presented with a sleazy candidate's actions, they just scream "Libs" and go back to their robotic support.

Republican voters are almost as sleazy as their candidates.

Well in all fairness I don't think the Dem supposedly in that race is even running ads so for it to be that close with a dem who is running on the ballot only is actually surprisingly good.

Like those dentists who boinked patients while they were sedated? Wow, what a complete douche. I can't wait to read this article and read what charges are pending:

The second woman described DesJarlais as "the nicest guy" and said he cooked dinner for her at their first get-together in 2000...

"His biggest thing that's completely unethical is him just picking up women while he's a doctor,"

You gotta be shiattin me. His major crime is taking asking his patients out on a date? Yes, I also find it outrageous when two consenting adults have a sexual relationship.

She said DesJarlais' early attempts at romance were "bizarre." She recalled feeling strange about a general practitioner who encouraged her to call him at home

Then why the fark did you keep going back to him?

"He was the nicest guy -- made dinner, supernice, tried to razzle-dazzle you with his conversation," she said. "I don't know exactly how it started, but I mean, when it did, he just kept on and kept on."

Yeah what a bastard. He forced you to go over to his house, eat dinner with him and then later have sex. Oh wait, you did it by choice? Yeah, I'm having a really tough time giving a shiat here.

2012-10-29 11:47:35 AM
To be fair, when it comes to the southern Democrats running against incumbent GOP Tea Partiers, they don't try very hard.

I don't know who Desjarlais' opponent is, but I know two Alabama GOPers in Congress running against Democrat opponents who look like they were literally picked up at a bus station, given a suit, and told "good luck, bub".
