Sunrazor: So, from what I understand, it acceptable to remove rushing TD when it is concerning ND? First the Stanford TD in OT that was not allowed because of...something. And now the TD by Bell that was pulled because of holding by...somebody and let us not forget that that call was late and not even announced by the referee and not thrown by the umpire (I believe) who is usually charged with doing so. Next to this potential record, an asterisk would seem appropriate, methinks, every time they show that during a show.

I'm honestly beginning to think ND may have deeper pockets than the SEC.

Well not "deeper," it's just that ND only cares about football.

Jesus Christ. Here we go with the Refs are on ND's side. What do you think happened on that play? Do you think that the "Higher Authority" radioed the ref on the field and told him to throw the flag? Or maybe it could be that the ref threw the flag late because he saw the holding and was waiting to see if the ref who's responsibility it was to watch that part of the field threw a flag, and when he didn't he threw his flag? The replay showed that it was a hold.

With ND, it really doesn't matter what the replay shows. I think that was the point.

/of course, the other point is that the replay always shows holding... on every play, by every team

Holding, just like on every other play in football. Yes. No. And, refer to my first answer.

And honestly, lighten up, Francis. Complaining about the refs is what is supposed to happen when they make a call that anyone disagrees with. What, you've never biatched about a call and maybe, just maybe, thought that they could possibly be in the pocket of the opposing team and cherry-picked information to bolster said thought? 'Tis the American Way!!

ongbok: If the game was won by how many first downs you get, then I would say you are right. OU's offense has been ineffective to this point because they haven't been able to get the ball in the endzone and their drives have been stalling out.

And as I point out the whole thread, the drives stall out because of stupid play calling. If you throw an incompletion one first, on your own 25, you don't come back with run up the middle on 2nd. This is especially true when the other team has shown that it can't stop the 7 yard pass until the field is shortened (red zone) where the safeties can come in and play short support.

But it won't matter. The zebras are going to win this game for ND just like they did for Oregon in the famous onside kick game.

I predict 2 more TDs by OU negated by zebras due to holding calls, or if passes, due to unsportsman like conduct - beating ND the call.

Anyone watching the Michigan game, are the refs as terrible as the Michigan announcers are making them out to be, or is it a matter of them being homers?

/They're pro-Michigan, naturally, but usually pretty decent when it comes to the calls.

There's been some crappy calls, but most of them so far have been against Nebraska. However, there has been a few BS P.Fouls against Michigan.
