FYI - if your life sucks so bad you feel the need to kill someone over anything. LEAVE! CHANGE! Go to Hawaii and be homeless! Anything! The upside or downside of leaving far outweighs the downside of committing murder.

/Unless you BBQ them and they are crispy, tender, and delicious.

Wow, this is one evil/stupid dude. He a murder rap overturned, then kidnaps someone and gets it overturned then go onto this.

Imagine what it was like having to deal with this guy when he had a badge and relative impunity.

These 2 haven't been cops for over 30 years... they come from Old Corruption. Not like these new cops today that don't know how to handle their new found corruption. They just weren't raised properly for it.

Chicago out-corrupts new orleans according to the FBI. though, new orleans is still in the top three. :(

/ makes me sad (as evidenced by the frown face). but our current mayor, in my opinion, will actually improve this city when it comes to the issues of local politics and corruption (I'm talking about new orleans, not chicago).

And both involve dishonored officers caught up in an evil abduction plan.

This is the social meme that officers really need.

Geez, what is it about the law enforcement mentality that attracts so many goons and thugs? (My apologies to the good cops who get unfairly smeared by the bad ones.) But didn't it ever occur to these guys that "to serve and protect" does not mean cooking up a lady's liver with a bottle of chianti and some fava beans before putting the leftovers in the fridge?

\and yes, I know these dudes hadn't been cops for a while, etc., etc.

Don't let any bad press let you stop believing that.

Because your gooning and thuggery are officially sanctioned. Free license to be a real prick and still dress up like a good guy.

I think law enforcement needs a PR campaign.

Your local law enforcement, true heroes serving the community. In no way is your local LEO a cannibal, a sexual deviant, a kidnapper, or a felon involved in a vengeance conspiracy.

My local law enforcement avoids areas of town that are prime spots to catch DUIs because they don't want to deal with people getting lawyered up. Instead, they hit anyone who looks under 30 with their hi-beams - seeing if they'll start to panic, and then pulls them over for a 'check'.

/having 3 cop cars positioned around you in a town of just a few thousand is the definition of a 'slow night'

Seriously, what is it with hacking people up lately? I can understand the greed motive, that's pretty common, but PLANNING to hack someone into chum? Why?

There we go again with that anti-LEO sentiment.

Just give the cops respect and they won't hassle you.

/Isn't that meme? It isn't like some cops are just waiting for someone to farkup to make an arrest.

/hmm..true. I read a story awhile back where some guy killed his wife at home, put her in the tub, and sawed her up with a hacksaw into bite sized nuggets, but got caught because the drain plugged up with little bits, and he called a plumber. I would have hated to see that clog.

Can you believe those dirty cops! They pulled me over when I was breaking the law, how dare they!?!?!

See when I did something extremely stupid and got arrested, the cops were completely nice to me because I complied because I knew I was breaking the law.

IMHO cops are just thugs who decided to follow the law and take advantage of it. Slightly smarter than criminals and a lot less smart than bankers.

It's cheaper to pay a cop's salary than to pay for putting that same person up in prison.

It's a jobs program.
