I have nothing witty to say....

How soon until executive hunting becomes common place?

I give it 4 years.

Let's see two of these a week every week. Corporate heads, politicians, bankers, Wall Streeters, Mitt Romney types etcetera. In time such people would finally catch on and mend their ways. No need to ruin peoples lives for a few extra cents return on investment, you greedy selfish wealthy bastards.

Job creators?
The assassins not the dead guy.

Price of gas has dropped $.40 over the last two weeks. Why are the gas companies trying to get Obama re-elected?

Maybe it's the return of the nijvel gang.

Pretty sure mentioning a potential future President of the United States in a call for killing 2 of "these guys" a week is a felony.

Gasoline dropped 66 cents around here in the past few. Definitely feels like election shenanigans. I hear it is fungible, it has "fun" right there in the name.

I'm surprised more high profile killings like the one in Brussels haven't been sprouting up. Plenty of crazy disgruntled people out there.

I think that in the end it's no great conspiracy it's just that the Belgian police and gendarmerie are thuggish, inept and let serious lawbreakers run riot in the country. Marc Dutroux for example, also in this case maybe.

PandaPorn: Maybe it's the return of the nijvel gang. I remember that now, and maybe sometimes the gendarmerie are so slack they actually get infiltrated by the aforementioned thugs.

Great idea, ideologically driven fanatics with no idea of how society or economies work beyond childish conspiracy theories acting as judge, jury and executioner. Because that's always worked out so well whenever it's been tried before. Can I please have the chance to cringe before self righteous morons?

While I believe that many corporate executives and investors are long overdue for some retribution for the shameless exploitation of the general public, we should keep it legal. Drag them into courts, make them expose their financial records and air their dirty laundry on public record. Random acts of violence won't change anything, and the last thing we want to do is make martyrs out of millionaires.

I find them inept in general, but not necessarily thuggish.

Case in point: I have a friend who came to Ghent to study, having originally come from eastern Slovakia. He and his brother were walking down the street when they were accosted by a group of Turkish men (Ghent has a large Turkish population), who began to attack them because they apparently knew that they were Slovak. The issue had been that the sister of one of the Turkish guys was almost hit by a car with Slovakian plates. Anyway, my friend and his brother then went to the police, who then refused to investigate further, saying "no, no, just let it be." Apparently they are afraid of pissing off any groups of foreigners - particularly muslims.

The problem is apparently much worse in Brussels - Radicalized in Brussels

I have another friend who is a police officer in one of the smaller villages by the coast and he says it is department policy not to try and break up fights, and to simply take statements after the fight is finished and ask if anyone needs medical attention.

Also noteworthy - there are these police officers that go around and check up on the welfare of every child, and check them for bruises on their bodies regardless of whether or not their is any suspicion of abuse. You can see them walking around in purple jackets.

Personally, I like the idea of these stupid, silly Socialists trying to reform society in their usual fashion, with violence.

Perhaps, this time we can develop a Final Solution to the Leftist Problem. A eugenic method would shift the Mean Peak of the IQ Bell curve dramatically to the right, The Democrat's Party would have about 12 people remaining.

My second world changing suggestion is to simply make ANY government employee who breaks any law, from Congress down to the local thug in a Crown Vic subject to a cage in front of the courthouse, for 3 years, before being burnt at the stake. Automatic, no appeal, no mercy. (You wouldn't have to do it more than once every few years. All the existing crooks would beat feet for the border, and the ones who still want the jobs would either be WAY smarter crooks, or even, perhaps, honest.)

The problem is that any 'punishment' or 'retribution' doled out to any 'suits' found 'guilty' is at the worst a stay in a 'club med' prison or at the least a slap on the wrist fine. If they actually spent serious time in a cell next to serial killers then it would look mopre like justice is being served.

The fact that politicians gladly take bribes political contributions from evil scumbag businessmen like the Koch brothers doesn't help the public's perception of fairness either.

This only fuels the crazies and causes a general lack of empathy on the part of the '99%'.

These in power really need to put down their Wall St Journals and read a few history bookls..

Totally unnecessary. Imagine a few John Lee Malvo types running around offing Fortune 500 executives. The elite have forgotten why things like labor rights, eight-hour days, and weekends exist. Around 100 years ago when they had similar attitudes towards workers, things like plant occupations, labor violence, general anarchy, and even revolution were real possibilities. Perhaps they need a refresher course on that history.

Day_Old_Dutchie: These in power really need to put down their Wall St Journals and read a few history bookls..

The vast majority of "those in power" are university educated and, if anything, spend too much time reading books, briefings and documents and too little time connecting and explaining at street level.

Know how I know you're a quasi-sociopathic, pinko waste of sperm and eggs?

. . . hopefully you take the task upon yourself (instead of whining about your inability to build your own success) and blow yourself up in the process . . . go DIAF.

Or he was an ass and a disgruntled ex-executive wanted him out.

Obama Administrations let him know such knowledge is perilous.
