China is probably the BEST ever at capitalism, and I do believe that's commonly accepted. They just claim to be communists because a capitalist state couldn't get away with artificially manipulating it's currency and institutionalizing widespread exploitation of it's people for sweet, sweet cash.

The Chinese Politburo is astonishingly corrupt. The entire civil service is based on giving and receiving bribes.

I was in Hong Kong, Macau, & canton a decade ago and had to go looking for communism.

I found a dingy little communist bank in a back alley of canton where the exchange rate was higher than anywhere else.

Communist indeed.

The bank had the red hammer and everything, plus a little Chinese woman with one of those Mao hats on and a gloomy disposition.

The Chinese invented fiat currency - thus capitalism.

Mitt Romney would be a bad ass President, in China.

China hasn't been communist for years.

Their leader poses as communist and our leader poses as a capitalist. Whatever keeps the people out of the streets.

But don't worry, it will be totally different in the U.S. when Obama completes the expansion of government in his second term.

Aw, not grandpa Wen :(

Well, that answers that, then. His good cop routine was just that.

Warlords, emperors and communists... meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Not for trying, though. I mean look at the current GOP.

Well, actually, yeah. China never went though an enlightenment. They went from emperors calling all the shots to "communists" calling all the shots.

The idea that the People should be the ones calling the shots is alien.

But, to be fair, how much power does an average Joe really have in the West, compared to the Authority?

Calling China communist at this point is like calling me young and dashing. Maybe in another time, but realities have changed, no matter what we might both like to admit to or pretend.

He's really going about this whole "expansion" thing all wrong.
