Omitted text: Can a dead rhino grow back its horn?

Of course not,(not sure if being snarked) but you know where I was going with this..., still beats hunting to extinction, but then will change to another hard to get animal part, maybe a polar bears left nut, that should be rare enough to draw in crazy money.

/should there be an apostrophe is "bears"

I'd like to see a film clip of activists collecting Rhino toe-nail clippinigs, please. The entertainment value might be worth more than the horns.

HailRobonia: By the way, rhino horns aren't supposed to be an aphrodisiac in Chinese Medicine. They are to treat FEVER. I guess aspirin isn't good enough.

Have they not heard of cowbell?

Not if you KILL THE FARKING RHINO so it will hold still for the horn-shearing!

Same with elephant tusks, which also grow back (although very slowly). Poachers don't give a fark--easier to just blow the animal away and grab that prize.

Traditional medicine is for fools and the conmen who profit off of them. At best the medicine is a placebo, often it is harmful, and in the case of endangered animal poaching, evil.

We also need a truer name than Traditional "Medicine". Voodoo Medicine? Something that the news media can use that shows that this stuff is crap and not real medicine. The article would have a different tone if it said, "According to Chinese Voodoo Medicine practicioners..."

What the poachers do to the rhinos to get the equivalent of 30 pounds of hair and toenails is nastier than any pile of toejam some activist sends the users of the poachers heinous act.
Any moron who thinks eating toenail clippings will make them more virile is a despicable person, and any asshole who would hack the face off an animal for profit and leave it to die is even worse.

/don't google "rhino poaching"
//it ain't pretty

Dimensio: A simpler solution is to brutally and painfully kill both rhinoceros poachers and those who knowingly and willingly purchase poached rhinoceros products and to leave their mutilated corpses displayed as a warning to others.

Unfortunately, sometimes the game reserve owners (in the case of private reserves) are actually in on it. The poachers have helicopters and night vision goggles and automatic weapons, which makes it rather difficult to stop.
