For the last few years, i've seen guys out at bike week in Daytona taking these pictures (minus the crashes, so far) and they do cause a distraction to riders. The photog sets up on sweeping curves and shoots digi pics (Their cars or vans have the phone numbers plastered all over them), post them on line for you to find your own and buy. At these famous bike runs, theres so many goobers who have more money than brains, and low to non existent riding time, and already pose a danger, but put a camera to make faces at and it compounds the problem of inattentive riders..
The guy who took the pic's is a idiot, and has exposed himself to a lawsuit i would think..

/see that rim striped?.. i've never seen that before..

The guy had a helmet on and the driver seemed to have his seatbelt on.

I think you're OK to laugh.

That actually made me burst out laughing in the office, so I had to show it around, everyone else thought it was funny too. We're all ok to laugh.

Back in '08 I got lost once after riding in Tsali and found myself cruising TotD in a Hyundai Elantra with mountain bikes on the roof. Those muscle car guys probably thought I was ruining their photos... but it was a fun little drive.

Nice job, Choo!

Agreed - Having ridden the dragon on my motorcycle, and driven it several times with a car club, I can vouch that if you're paying proper attention to the road and to the other driver/riders, Killboy and the other photographers aren't a distraction. They're certainly not jumping up and down trying to get riders or drivers to mug for the camera.

The guy rode a 600+lb motorcycle into a solid object heading (somewhat) in the opposite direction: that front wheel never had a chance.

I wouldn't be surprised if the fork tubes were bent and the triple clamps at least cracked.

I am a motorcycle rider and LOL'd. I knew what was coming and still laughed. If you are on a technical road like that, having your pic taken should be the last thing you're thinking about.

This guy got what he deserved.

Also, put me down for a "never seen a rim separate from the spokes" as well.

No lawsuit. It is the rider's responsibility to pay attention and on a road like the Dragon you really have to pay attention. I ride that road every year or so and the only thing that scares me is dipshiats like Captain Crash here coming across the line and hitting me head on.

I may be wrong but I think that's the same turn as Photoshop This Biker

What is this notion from? I've seen this argument joked about before on Fark and find it highly amusing. The idiot-speak, not so much.
