Matrix Flavored Wasabi: Krymson Tyde: A day or two ago someone posted a comprehensive list of similar things that has happened this election cycle. Does anyone remember which thread it was in?

I don't remember the original poster, but I saved it:

Each one of these is an isolated incident that is in no way a part of any kind of pattern... just because it's all the same party, in the same election cycle, and they admit it... doesn't mean it's true.

THX 1138: RanDomino: IIRC one of the things they were pilloried for was turning in fake names that they themselves flagged as suspicious.

Yeah, but if they hadn't collected those names in the first place, there wouldn't have been suspicious activity in the first place! So it's, it's uh, it's still their fault!

And it is not as if America is completely devoid of morons that have changed their names to Mickey Mouse or Moon Base Zappa, so it is not as if you can really be 100% sure that if the people taking the registrations pruned the ones they thought were problematic, they would be denying some people the right to vote. Guess it shows if you have enough media on your side you can make anything you like stick against anyone, no matter how stupid and non-factual it is.

Do you think without all the backlash the Board would have voted this way? If so there is a bridge my Aunt Brooklyn left me that I would like to sell you.

brigid_fitch: But...but...but...ACORN!!

FlashHarry: hey, look - more actual voter fraud - and once again it's perpetrated by republicans!

Voter registration fraud. Voter fraud (the last case of which was by a Republican IIRC) is different. But this is the EXACT thing that the GOP jumped all over ACORN for when they discovered...*gasp*...eleven entire instances of voter registration fraud.

ACORN was hounded to death because some of their paid volunteers turned in cards that they had personally filled out with bogus information in order to pad their paychecks. ACORN had to turn them in because it's illegal not to turn in every voter registration card. ACORN DID NOT dump dozens or hundreds of voter registration forms into the trash.

These guys should be strung up in the public square.

I'm thinking its finally crossed from the "rounding error" level of fraud to the "I don't care if it's our party, we're going to have pitchforks and torches outside our office!" level of fraud.

This. ACORN actually followed the law, to the letter, even so far as to indicate their belief that some of the received voter registration forms may be fraudulent. But, that didn't matter - the agenda was to hinder the poor when it came to voting, and so O'Keefe's stupidity became a pretext.

This? What this group did was actually illegal - not suspicious, not worthy of smear, but actually farking illegal. And, yes, there should be clear and severe penalties for violating election law in this country.

Elandriel: If the left had a James O'Keefe, this would be a wildfire. He'd probably still be a smarmy douche, but obviously these jackasses are going out of their way to stack the deck against (D). Someone should clip their wings.

This guy's just fine.

so will the corporate media stay stone silent on this per usual?

How are they deciding which ones to throw away? My understanding is that Virginia has open primaries, so you don't have to pick a party when registering.

palelizard: Weaver95: look, just because something happened three times in a row, over a short period of time and is clearly evidence of a problem does NOT mean that there's a problem! there's SOCALISMS going on. SOCIALISMS! and Obama! when you put your hand...into a bunch of goo....that a moment before was your best friends face...well then, you'll know what to do.

Republicans are just socializing the benefits while privatizing the risk. Isn't that what the Dims what to do with the country? The lieberal lamestream LSM media sure does whine and whinge about things, even when they get their own way.

You're really bad a trolling.
