When even The Consumerist tells its readers to STFU and quit being whiny, you know they must have it bad.

Didn't know pound cake got it's name from being originally made with a pound each of flour, sugar, eggs and butter though, learned something new.

They chose to cater to the lowest IQ segment of the population. They can reap what they've sown.

Dear Readers: Pound Sand.

And the original recipe for pound cake is terrible, the mixes are at one part each so morons can remember them, not because that makes the best cake.

Bravo.

Allow me to speculate. These people think they are being oh so clever, yet when they have this pointed out, will accuse you of being a pretentious know it all.

But they go on to complain about stores adding "non-standard" ingredients for shelf stability purposes, so Consumerist hasn't quite redeemed themselves.

So where do Consumerist denizens go when they wish to file a complaint about how they brought a reasonable, measured, objective and well-thought-out observation to Consumerist about OMG LESS THAN A POUND CAKE and OMG WHO WILL PAY FOR THIS and OMG PUNITIVE DAMAGES?

You gotta work some form of genocide in there too as clearly this is the worst thing since Auschwitz...

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if people are just trolling the Consumerist.

Here's an idea, let's all go to our local grocery stores and take a picture of a box of Grapenuts. Then we can submit them to the Consumerist asking WHAR GRAPES? WHAR NUTS? and please publish the country code for the Netherlands so we can all start calling The Hague.

I wonder if Consumerist really got attacked or if it was just used as a reason to drop the comments section. Been a month now and no comments section there and I think it is for the better.

Even if that's a deliberate troll, just doing that makes you an idiot by default.

I think they realized they were drifting away from legitimate business complaints and into the realm of crazy person biatching. Good for them though for trying to change it. Their stories recently seem to be catering less to the whiny nutters and shifting back to real complaints.

I'm going to miss the "my complaint is equal to genocide" headlines though.
