You don't know much about Al Jazeera English, do you?

Bet you think the "Christian Science Monitor" is a crazy religious newspaper, too.

In any case, here's the same story on BBC News

They 're not that bad, when it comes to Israel at least they're not as bad as the BBC.

If they're such a terrible source for news then I'm sure you won't have difficulty providing numerous links that establish the news website is less credible than others.

It's okay. I'll wait.

This is actually news.
And given Romney's inclination to target and strike with Israel - we should ask him about this.

Actually, Al Jazeera is a pretty good outfit. You should pay more attention and read it more often.

Israel has a history of ignoring stern letters from the UN....if there is a crazy, fanatical, theist, state that should not have nuclear weapons, they're it

They'd have a different 'tude if those they attack were equally armed.

Instead, they do what they want without consequences.

I don't know. The Israelis usually aren't shy about taking credit for this sort of thing, they'll just admit "yeah we farking did it, so what?" The evasive shait, especially with direct military strikes, isn't their style.

Israel ignores stern letters from the UN because they're usually drafted and passed under the direction of the Arab League - usually without a single Security Council signatory.

Those they attack don't need to be equally armed - a plane drops a bomb on a weapons plant that kills 3, so Hamas blows up a market killing 15. Israel bombs the sites those bombs came from (in civilian neighborhoods), killing 40, Hamas bombs a storefront killing 7.

A military fighting one population, and a paramilitary fighting back. Everyone gets kills, everyone uses fear and demonization to get what they want from their respective populations, and no one figures it out. The leadership is either too superstitious or too entrenched to care, and the people are too busy avoiding the results of their leadership's disastrous geopolitical games to care.

And of course, the peace activists denounced from both sides. That's fun, too.

// AJE is a pretty good news source
// I find it weird that that needs to be explained - read any of the international coverage, and you'll instantly see it

There are multiple links but they all say the same thing: " SUDAN Blames Israel for blast...", Blames. Not has proof, not shows video, no. Blames Israel. This would hold more weight if it were not popular in that part of the world to blame Israel every time somebody stubbs their farking toe. "Hmm my milk curdled, farking JEWS!!". Hell I dont even like Israel and I think their neighbores take the blame game way too far.

I met the program director of Al Jazeera back in college. He was a really cool guy and told us off the record that the leader of Qatar, the funder of Al-Jazeera, loves nothing more than pissing off all of the middle east, especially fellow arabs.

I tend to view them as pretty neutral.

With all the death, cruelty and hatred endemic at the Eastern end of the Mediterranean, most rational people would conclude the 'Holy Land' not that 'holy'.

The Sudanese have a nasty little habit of funneling weapons to Hamas in Gaza. If Israel did take it out--they saved both Israeli and Palestinian lives for their effort.

I don't know why anyone would think Holy Land was any more an actual reflection of the people and culture than Philly being the "City of Brotherly Love", Baltimore being "Charm City", New Jersey being "The Garden State", or Seattle being "The Emerald City". Philly notoriously hates everyone, Baltimore is more known for The Wire than charm, New Jersey is a chemical plant and Seattle has coffee, not emeralds.

There are holy sites in Israel. There are also doucheweasels. There are also many fine folks. There are also garbage dumps and piles of cat shiat (seriously, they run free there like squirrels here) and urban decay and poor people and technological centers and bus depots and irate cabbies and everything else you find in a modern city/country.

Weird.

Yeah. Al Jazeera can be useful but never when Israel is involved.

It's possible Israel actually smacked it but I think it more likely this was an industrial accident that they are blaming on Israel.

Well, the Israelis aren't ones for veiled confessions if they use straight up military force, just when they're playing commando. And I'm pretty sure that the Israeli government won't confirm that water is wet to Al Jezzera.
