Will Jim Leyland relapse back to his mid-season senility and play Don Kelly/Ryan Raburn at inappropriate times?

They should have just left Valverde off the WS roster.

Can Buster bust the slump? Which team has the fattest third baseman? Will ATT Park run out of garlic fries?

MaudlinMutantMollusk: Which team has the fattest third baseman?

The Giants by far. Who has the fattest infielder, though? That should be the pre-game entertainment. Sandoval and Prince do a weigh-in and then run the bases. The first one to fall on his ass wins a pie.

I don't know how Verlander can keep his mind on the game and not the after-party.

I just walked past 24 Willie Mays Plaza and heard Renel warming up her voice by reading the Giants lineup. Gave me chills. Its gonna be a hell of a series.

/I fondly recall two years ago, when the Giants were facing an ostensibly unbeatable pitcher on a team with several very good hitters.

The call of Posey scoring from 1st the other night was simply awful. Just really, really awful.

The drinking game tonight should be one drink for every time they mention the Yankees or Cardinals.

McCarver also hates the Tigers for beating his Cards in 1968 and won't shut up about it.

Don't forget the Red Sox, I anticipate the entire break between second and third innings being devoted to the manager change.

I would honestly rather listen to Scully take a shiat than McCarver's stupid, senile ass.

I got no dog in this hunt, but I'm pulling for the Tigers because Leyland is one of the great baseball people still alive.

My guess is most non Giants fans who tune in will think Romo is Brian Willson.

they fooled me! paper had a picture of him celebrarting, and i was like, "uh.....didn't Wilson go Operation Codename: Tommy John, circa July?"

then i saw the caption saying "enrique romo celebrates the world series clinching win" or whatever.

The ground is not allowed to shake until the A's get back to the Series next year to face the Giants.

jackiepaper: /I fondly recall two years ago, when the Giants were facing an ostensibly unbeatable pitcher on a team with several very good hitters.

I'm not going to say that Verlander's unbeatable, but I think 2012 Verlander is a lot better than 2010 Cliff Lee.

Not that anything previous matters in these games. That's what makes the postseason entertaining.

I'd rather see him swinging away in any situation instead of trying to bunt and breaking a finger. Though you'd think he'd be able to bunt a Zito curveball.
