Watched this last week when I was having a particularly very bad, no good, rotten day; I was searching for sappy cute things and came across it. First time I cracked a smile that day :)

I hate to be "that guy" but I'm pretty sure William Wegman did this about 40 years ago. And on Sesame Street. And had TONS of his pictures published. Even without the internet how have people not seen this exact thing done before?

This. Wegman did it with his Weimeraners, Man Ray and Fay Ray.

Ugh. For some reason I've always been unnerved by the sight of dogs, puppets etc. with human hands. Creeps me right the fark out. I can barely watch the Swedish Chef.

Don't you judge me.

once sat in a very stately, well appointed waiting room at a doctors office. the walls were lined with very high quality wood like one may see in the library of a wealthy mans home. on the long walls of the waiting room hung faithful framed reproductions of early artwork depicting well bred dogs dressed and posed as if they were living the people life. the originals were painted by (if i remember correctly) a talented lady, and her collection brought her fame in the day. supposedly they were the first of their type. my apologies i can't remember artists name, and that this story is so dry.
