That seems like a pretty accurate assessment of last night but I was drinking too, so what do I know?

Luckily for my liver's sake there was a football game on.

/How can a team with a +4 turnover rate only score 3 times?

Well who wasn't drinking last night? And do really want to trust their opinion?

Romney's going to go down harder than McCain did in '08.

Concur? He knew what he was getting ontology. He picked his words. I say, let him turn yellow.

Romney: You suck at foreign policy.

Obama: Here's what I have done, and what I plan to do.

Romney: I also plan to do the things the president just mentioned. Also domestic policy.

Obama: I am glad that Romney concurs with our foreign policy.

Romney: Well I -

Obama: Uh Hm-

CROSSTALK

Moderator: Let's get back to foreign policy, gentlemen.

In Romney's defense, his running mate is not Palin.

I mean, similar level of intellectual contribution to the campaign, but he's at least capable of stringing 2+ words together without making even the illiterate people in the audience facepalm.

In Obama's defense, he's going to stomp Romney & Ryan just like he did McCain & Stimpy

Romney was just just mispronouncing what he meant to say.

I watched the Bears game last night (because, fark the debates). And yes, I was drinking too... I even invented an awesome new drink last night.

1 large shot ice-chilled vodak
Equal amount, San Pellegrino grapefruit soda
Couple splashes of blood-orange soda
Small squirt of key lime juice

Refreshing, very drinkable, and easy to make. I haven't named it yet, and I'm open to suggestions.

Since it's a play on the Salty Dog (grapefruit and vodka), how about Dog Day Afternoon?

My favourite is still the one on the right here:

www.eonline.com

And by "favourite" I mean "still can't believe this isn't a joke". I still get more of an "old man who can't find his teeth" vibe when I look for him than a "hot guy" vibe, I just don't get it. (BTW do yourself a favour and do not GIS "paul ryan sexy". You will never be the same.)

I keep seeing commentary that Romney did what he wanted by drawing to a tie.

First, the polls about the debate, the only scoreboard that they have, show it wasn't a tie, so on that front it's utter bullshiat. Second, that framing belies a predisposition to want Romney to win for the purpose of the story. It says "I will take any result and make it sound like that's good for Romney." Even if they tied, that means they tied, not that Romney secretly won.

And they didn't tie. Romney looked like a he was out of his depth and was drowning in flop sweat.

You can argue whether it will have an impact on the race, but as far as the event itself goes Romney crashed and burned.

Not to rain on your parade, but just call it a Screwdriver Mark Two.

Never underestimate the members of the media who want to keep it a "horserace" for their company's advertisers.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, but I think I'm going to go with Bearhound. 'Bear' because I was watching a Bears game, and 'hound' because it's (arguably) a variation on the Greyhound.

It really is tasty, no lie.
