We were in talks with the city to work out a plan to make the show run smoother and not be a burden on the neighbors like traffic control, porta-potties, trash collectors, police presents, etc. Now none if it is needed.

That was nice of him to think about the police like that :-)

abhorrent1: lining up at 2 pm in the afternoon when the show didn't start until 7:30 pm.
To watch some flashing lights for a few minutes? They sound like apple customers.

But most people wouldn't know how to operate it, so they sound like Microsoft losers.

machoprogrammer: I can't believe I am on the side of a HOA. Christmas lights and Halloween light displays are stupid and a waste of electricity.

And yet, here you are posting on Fark.....

Shadow Blasko: fiver5: farking wet blankets. I'd live next door to that shiat.

Bunch of dried up old coonts were the ones biatching to the HOA, I guarantee it.

Or, you know... the fire department, police, or sheriff biatching about traffic. That's how it went down here.

The HOA was just the fastest way to take care of the problem on a legal level, so that is the route that is used.

At least we got a happy ending here.

Happy ending?
Happy ending happy ending happy ending!!!!!

ExperianScaresCthulhu: That was inventive and well done... but it doesn't have anything to do with the birth of christ.

But enough about December 25th.

Bathia_Mapes: Shadow Blasko: Yeah... I uh ... I can't really complain much about this one.

The *original* super holiday lights music etc "Trans Siberian Orchestra" house was less than 2 miles from here (Mason, OH) and a farking nightmare.

I LOVE holiday decorations, but when it becomes a traffic issue, and then a public safety issue, you gotta shut it down.

The city made a place for the Mason lights display, and all is cool now.

One of my personal favorite holiday light displays is from Frisco, Texas. They also used music by TSO. Christmas Lights - Wizards in Winter

That was inventive and well done... but it doesn't have anything to do with the birth of christ.
