newton: According to a news release from Army, the paint colors where used in previous training to help new soldiers know which tank to aim at."Is it ours? I don't know, it's not painted Pink or Purple...."
Pants full of macaroni!!: DAMN YOU FARTDINGNANENFMSHDBJHSVGJE
Shan: Interesting factoid, typically when a military vehicle is painted the desert tan, when its really fresh it looks almost pepto-bismol pink. After a few days in the desert it has been sun-bleached to the appropriate color.Or at least that's the reasoning my old Platoon Sgt gave me as we passed an element of pink Abrams when we were in Kuwait coming home from my last tour. Its entirely possible that the guy running the paint booth was feeling faaaabulous that day and my PltSgt was talking out of his ass.
kendelrio: Who's ass? The Platoon Sergeant or the paint booth guy?
HailRobonia: Breast... cancer? I did not know there was such a thing. Thank you, US Military, for educating me of the existence of this disease through use of color.

Uranus Megahertz: Oh so now it's "Let's shoot at the gay effeminate tank because it's different"

MoparPower: Pink colour Jeeps was used by the SAS in ww2. Desert in dusk and dawn hides pink apparently.
