moshi8: UNAUTHORIZED FINGER: moshi8: My husband just had to explain the pine tar "film" on Sanoval's batting helmet. It reminded me of Jheri curl residue so I am glad he clarified.

/ grew up I a bad area of San Francisco. I know my "drip"

Like this?

That's pretty much it. That shizz was all over the cement playground in my day.

To those of us that grew up in the more "urban" of SF playgrounds we know all about cement. Helen Wills playground, at the corner of Larkin and Broadway was mine. No grass, but they did paint the "infield" green.

Remember Will Clark? I was at some of those games at the stick.

My old scout master was in that super bowl commercial. One of those guys that has been to every game. Man you would not believe the collection of 49ers stuff he has in his dedicated basement. Puts most pawn shops museums to shame. His license plate is "49ERS" Gets stolen all the time.

FreakinB: With Casilla pitching, this seems like a good time for some giffage of his hilarious plate appearances.

How about Sandoval's expert baserunning?

Me too. Met Will at Spring training about 1989. He was my 6 year old son's hero. Will sat down by the pool and talked to him for 30 minutes after a game. What a gent.

St. Louis is poised for that "historic comeback" now. Just setting the Gmen up.

Quiet here. Everyone went home I guess.

They better hurry this game up. I live on the far west side of SF, and the rain is starting to get heavy. Only a matter of time before it reaches the ballpark.

Born and (mostly) raised. We moved when I was 14.

But I am third generation so I feel like I have some cred.

Grew up in Bernal Height with most of my days spent in the Excelsior or Mission.

Late to the thread. Long, weird work day.

Congrats to the Giants, and their fans.
Hell of a comeback.
Good luck in the World Series.

My bad, that was not MY sentiment, just that of the hitter and probably the Giants batters in general.

Since they're done after tonight, I should finally get around to asking this: when did the Cardinals clone Bruce Sutter for their bullpen? I mean... I'd do it, too, the guy was a beast.

2012-10-22 11:25:47 PM
I have to imagine Giants fans are enjoying this as much as Tiger fans enjoyed our game 4.

You can get the Cardinals some tee times.

Oh, ffs, I have a project that's late, it's freaking freezing in this computer lab, and it's 10:25 CDT. Finish this damned game so I can make fun of St. Louis on some choice Mizzou student pages, finish up my projects, and go to sleep.

Hey Jim! Those people paying $2750 for infield box seats didn't come to watch Jose Valverde, keep him away or reveal yourself to be a Giants fan.
