When someone says 'Greatest City' I think of places like New York, Paris, London, Tokyo or some such.

I'd be naming cities for a farking week before I go to 'St Louis'.

The Why Not Guy: randomjsa: And if a liberal called a female conservative the same name, it would be HILARIOUS.

Ladies and gentlemen, today's GOP.

"I don't give a damn what my guy did! Your guy did it in a hypothetical fantasy situation!"

No, it would be sad and cringe-worthy. When you do the Both Sides Are Bad game, you have to do more than wave hypotheticals around. Either bring meat to the food bowl or throw a different stick.

It doesn't matter what a GOP candidate says (or does) so long as they fellate Jesus, promise not to raise taxes EVAR!, and promise to close ever women's health clinic in the nation, the mouth-breathers keep voting for them.

dickfreckle: When a candidate says that he's against abortion except in cases of rape, doesn't that mean that his personal belief isn't that solid?

Yes. A fetus is a fetus regardless of how it was conceived. A fetus is not responsible for the circumstances of its conception, and a fetus conceived through rape is just as innocent and equally alive as any other fetus.

Pro-lifers should be against ALL abortions, or else get off the can.

/So to speak.

Wish people would ask the obvious followup question:
"Sir, what, exactly, do you think your opponent is full of shiat about?"
"She refuses to admit that all my unfounded allegations about her plots to destroy America are true!"

dickfreckle: Speaking of Akin (which means we're also talking about abortion and rape), I have a question: When a candidate says that he's against abortion except in cases of rape, doesn't that mean that his personal belief isn't that solid? I mean, if you genuinely believe that abortion is murder, then aborting even a rape-fetus is still murder, right? And murder trumps rape.

I guess what I'm saying is that at least these wingnut assholes are consistent in their belief. If you believe that murder is OK in certain circumstances, how strong can your anti-abortion stance really be?

I think it is probably more true that they don't want abortions in the case of rape either, however, it is politically non-viable to pursue such a platform. Forcing a woman to carry to term a child that was forced upon her is just not an electable platform.

This is what the "Tea Party" will ultimately be remembered for: thrusting a bunch of farking amateurs into a national spotlight they have no business being in.

Sorry, Fox News fan club, but no amount of blind devotion will make up for the fact that guys like Todd Akin simply don't have the grapes for long careers on the national stage.

That was you? Thank you :)

Just keep making teh funny.

Pressure's on, Hetfield! Now you have to make a joke in every thread Diogenes shows up to!

/was recently sponsored but can't find a way to contact that person and thank them. So if you're reading this, thank you!
//oh, and I given up laughing at Todd Akin. Have now moved on to the incredulous amount of support he has. Do people in Missouri put heroin in their Rice Krispies? Even if you're a Republican, how can you support this sh*tgarbler of a human being? When a Democrat turns out to be a raging asswart, I don't support him or her simply because she's a dem.

What the fark? Did you just declare Missouri, St. Louis and Kansas City to be great? The only redeeming thing in that group is Kansas City BBQ.
