"However, this case illustrates some ways in which our lack of resources has compromised the Court's ability to deliver its core services."

"...might not have been the best entertainment choice for national family court conference."

How about not spending money on conferences and entertainment - that might save some time and tens of thousands of tax payer dollars.

It's "family court", not "family-friendly court".

Can a individual get a public inquiry into the state of meals in the transportation industry?

"Never resourced properly" ???

"Hennimore, two events are scheduled for next week in our conference center. The National Family Law Conference is going to be in Banquet Hall 1, and their theme this year is 'Persuasive Legal Briefs,' a discussion of legal writing, with a panel of several noted judges. Simultaneously, the Nude Funny Ladies burlesque and comedy troupe is having their conference in Banquet Hall I. Those riotously amusing and sexy girls are performing a satirical look at the judiciary, in 'Panties, not Briefs."' Now, I need you to make sure that the entertainment for each arrives properly. I know you've messed up with these sorts of things in the past, but even a brainless half-wit like yourself could keep this straight: the N.F.L. Conference is in hall 1 with a discussion of briefs, and the N.F.L. conference is in hall I with a performance of briefs. And don't disappoint me again!"

Yeah, this. The article started fairly strong, like pants around my ankles strong, then devolved into some sort of other wordy thing with number and stuff and NOW MY BONER IS GONE.

It's no accident. The family court tried to turn bad PR into good PR, and the reporter went along. Really, what's more important - a silly skit or the fact that people can't get timely access to the courts?

The U. S. is in the same sad boat, with hundreds of judgeships unfilled and court budgets slashed to the bone.

Actually the argument wasn't that persuasive. To me it sounded like people were instead settling or utilizing private arbitrators for divorce proceedings as such was now cheaper than waiting on the courts to do everything, which is probably how divorces should work.
