But that's not voter fraud, that's to counter what the liberals are always doing. That's why you have to do it first and greater than what the liberals might do next. This is a war people, the UN is trying to take away our sovereignty in the only way they know how by forcing our citizens to give up our gun rights next year in 2009, erm, 2010, I mean 2011, it's happening in 2012. Well, no. That's what they want you to believe, they want to lull you into a false sense of security so he can get re-elected. But mark my words, if he gets elected, full UN control is coming in spring 2013.

1) MAKE ALL elections vote by mail.
2) Have the federal government count all ballots.

Time to get out of the dark-ages of elections.

the voter id laws and everything else they are doing to disenfranchise people is pretty much election fraud too, so not really surprising.

This is top-down asshattery.

2012-10-22 01:04:13 PM
Republicans! Too patriotic for legitimate elections, creating domestic jobs OR paying taxes!!

2012-10-22 01:06:00 PM
It isn't about security and voting accuracy. It's about excluding people that could vote for the other party.

So they can sneak out and steal the ballots?

To be fair, while the GOP has been loud about voter fraud, I'm not sure they've ever spoken out against electoral fraud.

What happened in Virginia is electoral fraud, despite Lou Colagiovanni's (and subby's) incorrect headline.

Well, that's what you get when a party that's already semi-shiatty deliberately courts the absolute shiattiest part of the opposing party.

There is nothing left of the GOP but shiat. Rancid, rotting shiat.

The pundits' knowlingly erroneous use of election / voter fraud and the media's ignorance or complacency in calling them out on it especially when related to using voter ID laws to combat election fraud is f*cking criminal.

There's a political sub-forum that I've been posting links to all election/voter fraud (regardless of party) but, oddly, 95 percent of it is Republican. One of the major conservative posters there finally had a big rant on it. He admitted that election shenanigans are largely done by Republicans but it doesn't matter because Kennedy only got the White House because he stole the election and Kerry tried to do in 2004 so both sides are bad so vote Republican (or don't, because they'll just cheat to invalidate your vote) and because of all this it's just normal politics as general and Republicans have to do this to make up for all the LIBERALS doing it.

The DOJ should prosecute Strategic Allied Consulting.

If the Democrats in Congress had any backbone they'd give it the ACORN treatment.

2012-10-22 01:15:26 PM
Well Republicans, be prepared to have this brought up every single time you bring up the need to prevent voter fraud.

2012-10-22 01:15:50 PM
Im not surprised by this....but I am also not surprised when the other party does it. In Philly, the Democratic machine skirted the boundaries of law with how the changed polling outlets at the last minute to discourage non-Street votes during the Street-Katz election and had middle class black voters from the suburbs of Upper Darby and Yeadon to vote in West Philly in every election from Goode-Rizzo through early 2000's when necessary.
Very hard to prosecute as the state rarely steps in for suspected voter fraud before it was the major issue it is today.

2012-10-22 01:16:48 PM
Can this be prosecuted at a federal level?

WTVR.com has reported locally from Virginia that The Virginia State Board of Elections (VSBE) will be refusing to prosecute Colin Small, 31, who was arrested on charges of obstruction of justice and voter fraud.

Why do you need the VSBE to prosecute obstruction of justice?

I submitted this article yesterday and was sad to not have been greened, but only because this is a huge violation of voters rights. Ken Cuccinelli is running for governor in 2013. I see huge conflicts of interest and tons of dirty dealing. Can the Dept. of Justice do anything about this? Glad this submission got greened, so does anyone know anything we can do about it? Phone calls, letters, etc? Point me in a direction and I will do what I can to help bring justice and fairness back to the voting process.

This would never have happened if Obama had released his college transcripts.

2012-10-22 01:24:21 PM
Is it as sad to everyone else as it is to me that we so consistently and continually manage to fark up elections? It's not just every presidential election that sees new terms added to our vocabulary like hanging chads or dimpled ballots - this shiat happens at EVERY election - even primaries.

I realize most politicians have the intelligence and temperment of very small and very spoiled children, but for fark's sake - if grade schoolers can elect class presidents without first stocking up on lawyers and preperation H, then why can't the adults?

A Farker posted a comprehensive list of GOP voter fraud over the last few months yesterday. Forget what thread it was. Anyone remember? Soon enough it will be as long as the LOPCATGOPATA.

And as someone else pointed out, it is hilariously true that the shills don't troll on weekend news because they haven't gotten their marching orders yet.

this kinda goes along the idea of why we need computers/voting machines in the first place? The elections are held in early November, and the winner starts in later January. Gives the people handling the election over a month to count all the ballots. Why do we need machines to do it in an hour? Also, the machines eliminate the paper trail that we used to have. Plus paper ballots can have more checks against fraud. "To err is to be human, to really foul things up takes a computer."

When I vote I am given a credit card thing, slide into the machine, vote, then the card comes out and I put it in a basket as I leave. I have always been tempted to drop a high-power magnet in the basket or just wear one around my wrist just to mess with the cards in the basket.

My dad has assured me that over 5000 homeless in New York City have their registered address as one particular park bench. So that's where, I guess.

One can draw his or her own conclusions about why the majority party chose not to prosecute itself in one of the most polarized elections in America's history.

Oh yes, I've got my own conclusions.
