Dude, you smell like old. And you are never going to be able to smell it yourself. So trust us and stay at home.

Okay, so the guy stinks. Lots of people do, no matter how much they bathe. Especially older people. It's a public library ffs. If they can't kick out homeless people, how the hell can they kick out this guy?

My husband works at a library. They can kick out not only homeless people, but anyone who is disruptive. If your smell is so bad that people can't read because their eyes are watering, you are disruptive. Also, since this guy doesn't think he smells, what are the chances that he is washing enough?

Lots of old guys who live alone don't do laundry very often, and when their own sense of smell tends to be diminished, especially if they are smokers. It might not be him, but his clothing that smells so awful.

I used to have a crappy sense of smell due to chronic nasal congestion, until I got dust-mite-proof pillow covers and stopped using pillow-cases. Now I'm often startled at how sensitive my nose is - I never used to be able to smell so well. Now I'm all paranoid and do a sniff test of every piece of clothing before I leave the apartment - I really hope I didn't stink too horribly before.

He`ll probably spend the money on an operation to regain his olfactory sense.
