And if you actually read the report - it doesn't say that the male attendants are just in boxers but that boxers are required with jeans. I would consider this the least weird part of all this so I'm not sure why all these articles are obsessing over it.

If you're CEO of a company whose shares have dropped 50% in a year, articles will start popping up about your dress code, emphasizing the "boxer briefs" (incidentally, a great way to say "underwear" twice) and burying the "jeans" somewhere in the middle.

I guess the part that bugged me most was requiring the flight crew to wear flip-flops (or trip-flops, as I like to call them). That is absurd and potentially dangerous.

Exactly my thought. So you're G550 does a You see fire on the wing..have fun getting out of that in flip flops.

No, its a specific type. There are boxers. There are briefs. And there is a third type, boxer briefs. Very comfy, you get the best of both worlds: briefs don't protect the thighs, boxers leave my boys feeling like they're living in an unfinished basement. Boxer briefs cover all the bases.

So to you, the employer telling employees what type of underwear they can wear is less weird than having to wear a 'spritz' of cologne?

Most professional jobs and/or brand sales jobs require folks to wear clothes consistent with the image the employer wishes to project. If the corporate jet was used as an extension of the office, and the office spaces/stores are staffed and dressed similarly than it makes sense.

The DOG SEATING thing is obviously a pretentious act of power though.
