I donated bone marrow two months ago, so I'm getting a kick out of this.

/to whomever got my marrow, I wish you health

I thought a banker invented the sucking of marrow out of people's bones.

Awesome. I'm on the list, and I've been called in a few times for blood samples when I've been a potential match, but nothing has come of them.

/Ah well.
//At least I got a free blood-workup!

And its incredibly easy to register as a donor. Go to bethematch.com They send you a kit with four cheek swabs. Swab the inside of your mouth, send it in (you don't even need to put postage on it).

Boom done, might save a life. Or two. Or more!

Aye! I find it weird that some people tell me that I'm making such a good decision/choice to be willing to donate bone marrow. I mean... the choice is between "potentially giving someone a new lease on life" vs. "Avoiding temporary pain, discomfort, and inconvenience for myself." That's... I'm not sure how to even see that as a choice or decision.

These are the men who should be given Nobel Prizes.

Sadly, that won't happen since the Nobel Prize committee is ran by a bunch of morons.

These.

Kolff never got one. He deserves it the most. He's kept my sister alive for 19 years as of May, and is the literal father of anything involving cybernetics/artificial organs/organic prosthetics.

He was the literal point where SF became fact.
