Non story: Overzealous directors close to Romney on board of investment fund that owns the voting machines
for unimportant states like Texas, Oklahoma, Hawaii and Colorado...oh, and Ohio. Anyway...whatever.

Article by Rick Ungar. He is notorious for responding to trolls in the Comments section. He's also an incredibly thorough writer.

Great find, Subby.

Knowing human nature, I think there has always been fraud. It would be much easier to get away with than most crimes.

This is an issue. Colorado is also being discussed as one of the possible deciding states. There's a site called Google that supplies all sorts of useful words called "information" if you use it correctly. You should try it.

Is Forbes already on the list of those conspiring against the GOP, and hence, America? It's been updated so often that it's hard to keep track of these days.

Don't be ridiculous. That's like saying Bush never had a majority in Florida back in 2000 but mainstream media jumped the gun and called it for him.

That doesn't mean every election will contain a screwy voting machine scandal.

Why stop? Because it looks like they're employing a brand new wave of techniques for election fraud. I'd assume that a 100% Romney vote would come across as "too suspicious" even for them.

Ballot scanners should be the limit as far as "electronic voting" goes.
Without paper ballots available for a recount, elections most certainly will be stolen.

It's good to see this story in a more mainstream source (even if it's an Op-Ed) but, to be fair, there's no new information here. The smoking gun is the relationship between Solamere (Tagg Romney's company) and H.I.G. (the company which allegedly owns a chunk of Hart Intercivic). Until the media can make a firm connection all we have is a company supplying voting machines having a close connection to the Romney campaign - no different than Diebold and the Bush campaign in 2004.

/ Thought the Diebold-Bush connection stunk in 2004.
// Apparently not enough people felt the same.
///Hope this story gets more attention.

The GOP have nothing but contempt for the average voter. Why wouldn't they try to manipulate the outcome at this level? Makes perfect sense. That said, I am a big fan of facts. Perhaps there is enough time left to shed more light on this issue and do something about it.
