Grapple: God, I loved that movie

Came here to say this. That's one I can watch over and over again.

They were still in school on June 5th, and not even in the middle of finals week?

Hoopy Frood: They were still in school on June 5th, and not even in the middle of finals week?

Up north, several states mostly start school in September and run to mid-June. I'm from Georgia, though, where we start school July 31ish.

At my school I think that would have been the second last week before finals.

Ferris had a nice ride and a hot gf.

For everyone else, that would have been a day thrown away watching a bunch of hillbillies scratch their nuts and spit while playing keep-away/snoozeball.

I grew up in the Chicago area, maybe an hour from "Shermer" depending on traffic. We started around the last week in August and had finals in the first week of June with graduation around the 6th-10th.

Wouldn't be the first time that the movies stretched the truth.

9,000 days since President Ronald Reagan does a half-inning of play-by-play at Wrigley Field for the Cubs in place of Harry Caray, who is recovering from a stroke.

I watched that on TV. Reagan was rusty after being out of the business for 50 years. He needed practice interacting with the stats guys feeding information to the commentators.

Which is probably the only time in recent history that the Cubs played in October.

we see what you're trying to do, but 10,000 days ago does not fall on an October date. as this article, and every other previous greenlight about this date attest, Ferris' day off was June 5, 1985.

you're just confused because we are in October now.

The most impressive part of this? They managed to catch a Braves win in the 1980s on film!

So what's the score?

I don't think they stretched any truth, that just happened to be the clip they got to supplement the footage from the location shoot.

Cubs games start at 1:20, and that foul ball was late in the 11th, but he and Cameron would have been in gym at that point. Mr. Rooney gets picked up by the school bus after 6:00.

Just how late did school get out back then?

Why was Cameron wearing a red wings jersey If he's from Chicago?

Charlie Sheen's thumb movement was the greatest thing about that movie. That and pre-destruction Jennifer Grey.

I have been alive for 10,447 days. I am 290 days older than Jimi Hendrix when he died. If I make it 74 more days, I will outlive Heath Ledger.
