(Breitbart.com)   In September alone, Romney's campaign shamelessly took in almost $30K in donations from people with non-existent or invalid ZIP codes. Oh, and Obama's number was $2.2M   (breitbart.com ) divider line

Strangely, 100% of these facts are either made up or misquoted. And yet its a Breitbart site. Hard to believe.

Bring on the libtard spin.

I wonder what the rate of transactions per error is for each campaign?

2012-10-21 02:30:53 PM
And Breitbart received $0 in donations after dying of anger and excessive lying. Problem?

The NYP has different data:

"Obama's re-election campaign took in $130,867 from donors who provided no ZIP codes and $2 million from those with incomplete ZIPs in September.

That same month, Romney's campaign recorded $2,450 from donors without ZIP codes and $2,500 from those with incomplete ZIPs."

2012-10-21 02:55:40 PM
Obama's campaign takes many more small donations. I suspect that whatever the kernel of truth is inside this idiotic article has something to do with those statistics.

It's so cute when "conservatives" pretend to care about the source of campaign funds.

And I think I'll save my outrage until an actual report comes out. I'm sure you'll forgive me if I don't take Breitbart's word for it.

so....

The New York Post? Fox News in print form is "a better source".

I barely trust it's sports coverage let alone anything else.

Many Breitbarts died to bring us this information.

2012-10-21 03:17:58 PM
Yeah, and... we're talking about a fraction of one percent of total campaign contributions, right?
Or is it less than that?

2012-10-21 03:19:06 PM
Oh, look, a Breitbart link.

Better yet, don't.

No click, suffice to say that Romney's donor list (and the 1%er political wish list behind those donations) is far scarier than anything Zombie Breitbart can make up on their most faux-ragin' day evah.

ZIP codes are people.

Not interesting

You know, if we banned any form of political contribution and financed Federal-level elections through the government, as civilized nations do, this wouldn't be a problem.

Because nobody has ever made a typo on their zip code while filling out a form ever.

I just get so mad when Obama does things! He's all like, "Look at me I did something". And then he goes and doesn't do stuff and is all like "I'm not doing anything." I swear, I've never seen anything like it.

But don't accuse me of going off just because he's not a Republican, because those guys have the best ties.

2012-10-21 03:22:06 PM
fark, I clicked the link. Does this mean that Romney is automatically president and Biden's Trans Am will be stripped for parts on election day?

Holy shiat the New York Post. The last bastion of credible information.

Here's a more credible source.

"a megaphone for [Anschutz's] right-wing views on taxes, national security and President Barack Obama."
Sounds about right. To the echo chamber.

Granny_Panties: ZIP codes are people.

There are a number of Zip codes which have no physical location. There's one in Wilmington, Delaware, which acts as a mail drop for the credit card companies based there.

The Empire State Building has its own Zip Code (10118).

That is a feel-good story. It proves that even the Canadians know Obammy is a disaster that will damage their economy if he isn't removed from the White House.

Don't worry, Canada, January will be here soon. :D

In other words, "I won't believe it until some source biased towards my viewpoint says it". A very convenient way of never having to acknowledge bad news, since the odds of some left-wing source criticizing Obama on a given issue is low.

Can't imagine why liberals wouldn't want their location mentioned in their political donation.

2012-10-21 03:33:10 PM
I have to wonder how my donation would show up, were I to make one... ABout a year ago or so, they created a new ZIP Code here for some reason not specifically meant to make everyone's life Hell supposedly, but I ain't buying it. As a result, only about two thirds of the time that I try giving my ZIP to someone does it actually work. Quite often, I have to use my old ZIP, because the company, bank, online retailer, etc. doesn't have an updated system that reflects this ZIP code. Luckily my Credit Union is right around the corner, less than a mile away, so they were on the ball from the beginning, but would this shiat show me as having an "invalid" ZIP code due to this?

Of course, the REAL story here is that Romney has been consistently falling behind in fundraising.

Here's your opportunity to be productive: who are the "Government Accountability Institute"? They have no obvious ties to the government and their roster reads like a far-Right think tank. They're based in Florida. Who funds them? Their 'proof' points to a NYP article covering a British citizen who reports donating $5, $195 less than the required level for FEC oversight. I can't find anything in the FEC news regarding this. Please help, Silly Jesus.

No, it's more like, "I won't believe it until I hear it from a source that isn't consistently distorting the truth in its own stories to suit its agenda".

I like to think I'm open-minded, but I'm not open-minding to things that are constantly BS like Breitbart.

Funny thing is: They don't bother to tell you. It's just "missing or invalid ZIP codes". No details, which is perfect for a 'Let's Bash Obama' article on Brietbart.

It's so typical that lefties don't care that their candidate might be accepting millions in illegal donations.
